What made you decide to buy a Mac over a PC and what do you plan on using it for (creative stuff, just office work, programming, etc.) Sorry if that's a lot of questions I'm interested in the 24" iMac so that's why I'm asking.
hey! the main thing for me is that I'm very familiar with the apple environment, and because most of my other devices are apple, it creates a nice flow when I'm working - I'm mostly planning to take meetings and code on it:) hope that helps!
Pro tip if you want to buy it because of the Apple Ecosystem Buy a mac mini and pair it with a 120hz monitor that is usually priced at 200-400 dollars which makes the total to a 699 plus 200-400= 899-1099. It gives you thesame thing as the imac but work and stuff like editing, overall smoothness of browsing doubled because of the 120hz monitor and also you will be able to avoid the ugly chin and massive bezels on the imac because 120hz monitors are frameless and overall looks better and cleaner.

And hear about the "ugly" chin at all funny to read because the monitor for $ 300 will be ugly black plastic and wobble at the slightest touch to the table)
I am considering the silver finish . I think that 16 ram and external memory . Since I have had to use the dining table as my desk , I need something that was easy to park away when hosting a meal and the iMac offers a bigger screen to the MacBook Air M1. I had considered the Mac studio and Mac mini , but matching a monitor that matches the new screen iMac does not make the relocation any easier , so I elected on the iMac . 24 inch screen is a good size for photo editing and writing my stories for the grandchildren . I know that in a few years the iMac is going to be offered an M3 chip . Other options with M2 will come latter this year , but the M3 will be here at the end of 2023. In short , don’t bother waiting for it.
I got the green M1 iMac w/ 16gb of ram. The thing runs like a champ and tackles creative work very well. I do graphic design, illustration, photography, and web design.
