I've been thinking about how to do this for the last few days and came across this video. It is perfect. There are a lot of tips and ideas here that I will definitely use. I will try to put some lettering on the side walls as well. I will also use this procedure for the octagon. This occurred to me even before I saw the end of the video ;)
Congratulations on a well made mould, resulting in a fantastic concrete container. You could make many shape variations with this idea. I will be making this. Well done again 👍
I would make the mixture with a little more water...I see the mixture as very dry...and I would add an iron to reinforce the already made structure.... Beautiful work and spectacular shape. Congratulations

The lower the ratio of water in the recipe, the stronger the concrete turns out. Too much water displaces volume that could be occupied by mortar, causing shrinkage, cracking and a weaker matrix when it cures. Only need just enough water for effective curing.

taper the long edges of the strips and coat with lithium grease .. that way they don't tear out the fragile green concrete..internal ply should be split in two as the will jamb as it swells ..made 100s of planters, both cement and composite fibre ...
Hello, nice job congratulations!! What do you brush on the wood paint or is it a release oil to prevent the cement from adhering to the wood? How long does it take to remove the wood from the mold? Do I doubt after finished or do you wait a few hours? Thank you I hope you answer me
Minha mãe tem umas 50 espécie diferentes de plantas, e eu sou obrigado a fazer seus jarros, mas sempre uso ferro e faço com a massa mole, demora três dias pra desforma, porém fica 100% mais seguro, 100% mais duradouro. Geralmente sem ferro, dificilmente passa 2 anos se não tiver uma boa espessura. Parabéns pelo trabalho, sempre admiro apesar de tudo.
So many times to draw the layout; Why not cut a piece of plywood to the smaller square (43cm) and just draw around it? Beautiful concept - it is in my project file now. Thank you.

It's probably recycled motor oil. I've used recycled cooking oil with good results.

I thought so too. So many videos show really wet mixture. It looks so nice though😊. I might use some metal between rows for strength if I try it😂
