Nice a video of the marching band!! I’m in that band now! We’re in band camp rn and we’re practicing basic stuff like right face, left face, about face, attention, parade rest, stand at ease, and also a bit of marching. The song we are learning is “The Purple Pageant”! I like this band!!🎺🎺🎺

They did good. Lots of new freshmen. They will do better next year. My son plays in the band. They do need to clean up that marching.

Good job overall, but some of those whole-band about faces were really muddy. Probably should clean that up a bit before NAMMB.

Wow, definitely not the detail that Larry Ward taught during the early years.

It may not be something Larry ward taught. But this high school at this point is full military, no flags no majorettes only band and tradition….

@@coleburdette4105 Yeah for a while Atascocita had the pride of being one of the last fully traditional high school military marching bands. Luggerio was an amazing director and took the band to new heights during his time with it but the pandemic hit the band hard and he left last year so the growth and development halted. I'm surprised y'all know who Larry Ward is out there in Parkersburg

@@ProfDenver Wow! I'm not sure why I'm really surprised. He wrote excellent fanfares and wrote very detailed, intricate drills. Definitely one of the most famous and respected directors in Atascocita's history. He made the band what it is and although Atascocita is one of the newer schools we inherited the history of Kingwood, especially after Mr. Ward and Mr. Countryman. Mr Luggerio started doing great things with the band, especially by 2019 and then from what I heard there was pretty big plans for 2021 but unfortunately we never got to see the drill he was writing.
