To be honest no other singer has hit me like Courtney,she touches my soul,every song she sings,she sings with such emotion,i get goosebumps every time,i love her,she’s simply awesome.
I've watched her since she was a little girl! Love her and so does my oldest Granddaughter!

I asked for this. I don’t know if it was my comment you read, but I couldn’t be happier you reacted to it. I wish she would put out more music like this along with some of the other stuff. She has a wonderful head voice and has matured greatly since AGT. We are only scratching the surface with Courtney. She’s going to be a star.
Yup, totally agree. This is better than the original. And she's doing the same thing, in that same little space you see there, with other songs (like Sucker). These are really "break out" covers and are probably leading up to some originals that will capture the world for her. She has everything it takes and I really want to see her go to the top. I would think a producer would love to work with someone like her, unless they were a control freak who would try to just use her instrument for their own purposes. Hopefully, she will never submit to that. Collaboration and respect can show us the best of her.
When Courtney put this out she said, "I wanted to show my softer side." She also said she wanted show she was much more than just "oldies." She sure did both by blowing this one out of the water!! She currently has about 2 1/2 million views on it.

I am 49 years old and Courtney Hadwin is my most favorite performer in the world. She seems to embody all the raw rock and roll talent, that seems to have been lost on our current generation of young people. And she is only 15 years old. She is just a little girl from an ex mining town in the UK, who watched the classic artists from the 50s and 60s on RUclips. And she just decided that is what she loved, and that is what she was going to do with her life. To become a rock star. And I believe if she keeps up this pace of blowing us away with each new performance, that she will be a music legend. But that is just my opinion. Courtney has so many surprising vocal tools in her tool box....and now she is learning to play the guitar and sing at the same time. She will be unstoppable!
Your opinion, I think is also the opinion of many many fans. And as long as people see her and hear her, she will be unstoppable. I have yet to see anyone in my circle of friend feel any differently who I showed her videos to. Like her like to dislike ratio on all her RUclips videos that ratio or actually better is the same in real life for me.

Your best reaction yet! Being honest, I am such a Courtney fan that anytime you say good things about her I'm going to like it. Actually, it really means more that in your previous reactions, you started with a critical ear and then more and more have discerned her talent. I think you said it just right: the talent, as ardent fans have seen, has always been there, but she is increasingly able to "harness" all the nuances of timing and dynamics. She is only 14 there (turned 15 in July), and, right, no telling what she can do in the next few years! Already, these 'better than original' unique arrangements are from Courtney's creative mind; they are not created and given to her by someone else🤩🌟

In my mind, the thing that makes Courtney unique, besides the incredible vocal talent, is the rare vocal versatility. As you mentioned early in the reaction, she can kill it in rocker mode and then turn around and follow it up with a beautiful ballad like this.
Also, when you hear a cover from Courtney, the one thing you can count on is that it will never sound like the original. She always makes it her own. Why do a cover unless you have a new take on the material. Even from a young age, she has had this tremendous creative instinct.

What I like about you is that you are honest in your judgment and do not care what people think. And it makes you like Courtney she doesn't care what people think, either. She does her thing whether you like it or not. You have to respect her for that. Considering how much crap people wrote about her in the beginning. So she still stands with her head high.
Boy, Kim, you are right about the heaping amount of crap written about Courtney by people who knew nothing of which they wrote. What brings that out in people? It sometimes seems that the greater the performer the stronger the naysayers in the beginning until they get drowned out. One of the earliest things Elvis did was to appear on the Milton Berle tv show. "Uncle Miltie" was one of the reigning tv stars in the 50's, and his variety show was very popular. After the then unknown Elvis' performance, Berle received thousands and thousands of hate letters (no Internet then) saying they would never watch his show again and that Elvis was vulgar and awful and worse! Berle quickly called Elvis' manager, Col. Parker, and told him, in so many words, that Elvis was going to be a huge star! It seems greatness breeds hateness. It says a lot that Courtney still holds her head quite high!

Very good reaction thank you, I liked very much your positive response to all the negativity that has been thrown at this amazingly talented young lady, well spoken , top marks for those opening comments. Courtz is so infectious I never tire of watching and listening to her. She has a talent beyond talent that is quite unbelievable for one so young. For all the knockers out there I am wondering how they are progressing in their misrible screwed up lives, Courtz of course has bounded ahead with her life and is already an incredible success story what with recording deals , live performances signed up with a clothing label and at the age of 15 has a salary reputed to be in six figures and already has a net worth of between two million and five million USD , a d all of this while still juggling her education etc. Bye bye knocker eat Courtney dust as she disappears over the horizon into green lush pastures of life, Courtz is the very BEST.

I have to apologize to you sir. I am not looking for a response back. But I feel I should be transparent before commenting. I misunderstood some of your comments on 1 or 2 of your other reactions on Courtney. I had to go watch those reactions all over again. For whatever reasons I surmised that the controversies you spoke of were about her fans being too defensive of her. Although I am not sure what was said in the comment sections that you said you deleted (since I never saw them myself), I watched, listened and read some of your comments again on those videos that has me thinking the negative comments against her by some of her haters were the real reasons for some of those controversies. I was confused and I misunderstood. So I just stayed quiet somewhat thinking you weren't too impressed by Courtney. Now that I understand more of what was happening and the fact that you continue to listen to her, I'm glad I kept coming back to hear what you have said here. You are a straight up and honest person. I jumped to conclusions too early without digging in to understand what happened. I actually unsubscribed but have since subscribed again. So again I apologize, even though you probably weren't aware of anything I just wrote of my mind set. I am a fan of Courtney and now a fan of your reactions to her too. Well. As I have stated to other reactors and detractors. As a seventy eight year old man who has seen the world. Think of this. Courtney at ten years old was singing with passion and had an understanding of the music and words she was singing. Here at fourteen she shows a deeper understanding and all you need to do is watch her expressions and wonder how she knows. Who taught her. How is it possible for her to have an understanding of the pain within the human condition and be aware of the joy that she is creating. At ten she was not copying she was feeling. This young girl is way beyond her years. At fourteen she understands life far more than majority of those around her. When her original music comes out I suspect the world will be in awe as I already am. This child is far more than she appears to be.

I am from America. I don't watch a lot of talent shows because I the people I like always get voted out. So I watch the performance on RUclips so I'm a little behind times . The other day I saw Courtney perform one America got talent. I instantly became a fan and love her . I don't know controversy is about don't care. I watched her Britten show. She was great there aswell. I think she has a long career ahead of her. I wish her long life of happiness. You know anytime someone shows greatness there will be these who try to bring them down. Courtney is working with some of the greats! Howie Mandell said she's working with the best in the business, and it shows! This girl is going to be famous....more than what she already is. She's been singing since she was 5yrs. old. Her sister said she sleep sings. I think she was reincarnated from an old SOUL!

As has been said, Courtney's album should drop soon. She has worked closely this year with Linda Karlsson (MIss Li), one of the most popular and prolific singer/songwriters in Scandanavia and a Sony artist, and her partner Sonny Gustafsson as well a great songwriter, at their studio in Stockholm, as well as some of London's talent. Miss Li currently has about 3 or 4 songs in the top 50 on Spotify Scandinavia. Hi Lawrence, I gave Miss Li's song a listen (one of my favorites of hers btw). I did listen to a number of her songs when we found out she was at the studio with Courtney last year, but not all. She has too many. lol. Question for you. Do you think she will be singing side by side on Courtney's recordings? Or maybe, just some backups or just giving her pointers? I'm curious. Miss Li's voice also reminds me of a throwback to some 60's music of the songs she already done. But in a different style of Courtney. Personally I feel their different vocals would mesh nicely together and up front together. Yet, part of me, and as a Courtney fan, I'm not sure if that's what I want to hear on her 1st album. But then part of me thinks it might be good for her too. That is, if she is actual doing vocals on her album. What the you think?

She has been honing her craft from young age, to me a child prodigy. Check out her cover of Elvis's "Can't Help Falling in Love" at age 11 for a contest in England that she won. She was unbelievably talented from the start.

Agree with you that, only at 15, she already has a complete package of singing weapons (ie, her signature rock voice, her tender high register, her incredibly rich lower register, the passionate, full of feeling way she sings and the intelligent way she weaves all of this into a beautiful work of art). So glad more folks like you are recognizing Courtney,s "voice." For too long, she was just the kid from AGT, when actually AGT Courtney was the anomaly, not the norm. Her roots are in ballads and R&B. The rocker began to emerge in Voice Kids UK, then blew up on AGT. But what we see here is Courtney's true talent "vocally." Her seamless transitions between chest, mid, head and falsetto voices are on full display in "Sign of the Times." IMO Courtney must be all of those genres and personas to have a fabulous career, and I'm certain she will.
@@rotorhead-fy7nc I think she will too. And I'm pretty sure she's going to learn so much more on how to get the most out of her vocal talent and especially how to entertain us on the stage. She's already got most of her fans in the palm of her hands. I feel that she's going to get her audiences more involved when she performs on stage again as she gets more outgoing and confident with communication with an audience. I'm sure you've watched some of her older videos in her home town area where she performed on stage and she tried getting the audience to sing along. You could tell she had the right idea but just needed to be more socially involved to get them to sing with her. In Vegas she step it up getting some interaction with people one on one and in their face. The kids really loved it along with the others she sang in front of. Today if she were to get that opportunity again, I'm sure she'll take even further. If she gets that confident dealing with her audiences in a concert, she will have taken the next step to being a superstar one day.

Thank god she didn't win that show. They would have limited her abilities to do other things for a year with their contract stipulations. Winning those shows is not the key. Exposure and doing well enough to get people to pay attention and know your name as you progress your career is key.
