5:10 Hey thanks for taking my question Jake and thanks for answering it thoroughly even though you had limited time. You know what, you should write a book or at least a long blogpost about the Video game industry and it's changes throughout the year, as a old school gamer like you I think you will nail it.
R6 Vegas was one of the best co op experiences I've ever had. That game formula was **chef's kiss**. It's criminal in my opinion that they haven't carried that formula into modern day gaming, it was revolutionary.
Ok - so you should make some merch for your supporters and start with a “PIZZAS ON ME” shirts. I would definitely buy that - hell I’d be willing to put together some concept art for it! Love what you do to help the video came community grow, because even though it’s bigger than ever there still so many people who could benefit from playing video games and just enjoying gaming!

Thanks for uploading more to this channel this last year Jake. Always love to hear your genuine thoughts! And Arkham City I remember being one of the first games I played on a proper (somewhat) gaming rig after saving up in high school to build my first PC. It had an EVGA Nvidia GTX 560 with a AMD Phenom II Black Edition. I remember maxing out the settings and the frame rate was dog shit, but I still loved every minute. Replayed and 100%'ed many times. And Catwoman...
I have a big love/hate relationship with loot systems. The color coded loot can sometimes feel like just another predictable system of disposible parts and pieces. Sometimes they're even maddeningly inflexible and just serve to make you grind. That said, I've recently enjoyed the approach of Ghost of Tsushima and Immortals Fenyx Rising. Ghost being more about resources to hone your loadout while Fenyx has you upgrading your SLOTS instead of your individual weapons and armor. I absolutely loved that. I never felt like I was wasting my effort or punished for trying out a new playstyle.
Love the Arkham City appreciation. Surprised PT/Silent Hills didn't come up in the cancelled game conversation lol. And I knew the Q&A's over now but I'd be interested in hearing what you think of the new Guardians game so far. While I hope the best and the fact that it's seemingly campaign-focused is great, the Square-Enix Avengers game really gives me pause with new non-Insomniac Marvel games.
Most AAA companies want their developers to make games that appeal to everyone, but fail to provide unique experiences. Deathloop looks like a breath of fresh air and I'm here for it.

Look better than some of recent games. Its truly an artwork. Story wise: I like City's story more. I don't play any other game till I finish the story. If I leave the game on some part, and come back days later and play where left off, I was like "what was I doing" I fell like I lost. Unsure if that kid was serious but I would humbly suggest that instead of panhandling or convincing parents to buy you a toy, how about mowing some lawns or shoveling some snow to save money to buy it yourself? My parents would have bopped me over the head and put me up for adoption if I asked for a $500 toy. They bought my sister and I one single NES for both of us at Christmas and every subsequent game and console I’ve owned came out of my own pocket. As it should be.
The internals of the revised PS5 now look like a cheap Chinese knock off. It's not just about the reduced size of the cooling system. Those new parts are clearly much cheaper and lower manufacturing quality.
When I saw the question of whether you will stop playing games when you get older.....I was like "No....nooooooooooooooooo......I will be playing games in my grave" :P :P :P
Picking my favorite Arkham game is a tough one for me. If I had to choose, I guess I would choose Arkham Origins. The Deathstroke fight was awesome and I always loved playing as a younger Batman. Plus, I liked the Electric Gauntlets.
One creepy movie thing that really stuck with me was the scene from Lawnmower Man where the main character/antagonist 'mowed' a guys brain smooth in this creepy 80s CGI VR looking scene.
The surf scenes were magnificent on the big screen! Pitty they tried to remake it, that movie would have been so much better when done as a sequel. (Thats just me, feeling like remakes always try to erase the original)
If you dont want people to harrass and freak out then dont make your title something that will obviously piss off fanboys. Its Austins own fault he decided to use a title he knew was misleading and inflammatory since he knew it would drum up needless controversy. He doesn't deserve to be doxxed or harrassed but he kinda brought it on himself.
Man I totally forgot all about rainbow 6 Vegas. That was back around the Halo 2/3 era, back when the highest Halo ranks were like asteroids and moons and other space stuff.

This warms my heart. Origins is my favourite, too, always nice to see other pros show it some love!
One creepy movie thing that really stuck with me was the scene from Lawnmower Man where the main character/antagonist 'mowed' a guys brain smooth in this creepy 80s CGI VR looking scene.
Poin break is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
The surf scenes were magnificent on the big screen!
Pitty they tried to remake it, that movie would have been so much better when done as a sequel.
(Thats just me, feeling like remakes always try to erase the original)
@@hotdognl70 the remake was terrible. I never saw it in the cinema as I was very young when it came out but I grew up with it and absolutely love it.
2:42 awwww look at babyface Jake!!🤣 But seriously though, I’m with u Jake, I will never grow out of liking video games. Best hobby ever.
100% with you on Star Wars and Prey 2. I still Have my Prey 2 ad paper that came with one of my 360 games. Oh what could've been. 💔
Man I totally forgot all about rainbow 6 Vegas. That was back around the Halo 2/3 era, back when the highest Halo ranks were like asteroids and moons and other space stuff.
I've never watched any of the Walking Dead but I looked at that cut of the first episode and immediately thought "Oh, that's the start of '28 Days Later'"
I’m just curious since I know your love of Resi and Silent Hill, have you tried playing Tormented Souls? Just curious of your thoughts on it
Just wanted to say you pronounced Yakuza right the first time lol. Also someone please bring Adam Jensen back or some new protagonist. I need a new Deus Ex game!
The end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit with the eyes. 100% Jake scared me as a kid, and just made me uneasy seeing the clip now! Lol Thanks!
I'll be 40 in October and have long known I'll be gaming until I die. I take my work and life very serious but games and gaming news are my side passion.
I guarantee we played Rainbow Six Vegas together. If you played it as much as I did, we definitely played together.
Something that irks me. Some people sqy destiny 2 is dead, yeah? But thousands of people that play every day would disagree with you. So no, its far from dead
