Was the thumbnail of this video inspired by that painting of Lucifer called Fallen Angel?
This is what I think happened based off the description. There were only two names listed so I’m guessing a bunch of this is symbolic.
The beginning is really the end, and on seeing her “brother” the main character begins to have a flashback. Although they were both immortal children the mother loved the son (George) more, and the daughter (Dolores) was jealous of that fact, taking out her rage on the brother himself.
The brother seemed to always be an outcast, and so later in life when Dolores is successful, her brother who was down on his luck and presumably on death row pleads with her to help him. Maybe she didn’t want to ruin her reputation, maybe she genuinely had ill will towards him, but she hesitantly runs away. I think the mirror scene was symbolic of them being on the same boat. Both captive to the Roman temple in different ways.
Later down the line, her brother is beaten in front of everyone. Dolores sees this and feels terrible so she cuts her hair, maybe vowing to never back down from those in need again. The guy whipping George looked a lot like the later version of George that we see, so maybe it was symbolic of him killing off whatever love and kindness he could’ve possibly mustered for Dolores.
Dolores, true to her vow, fights to protect someone who seems to be dear to her. Like I mentioned earlier however, the siblings are both immortal. They are the lone survivors of what seemed to be a war and the brother knows that he could never hurt Dolores. The only thing that could kill her, is to kill what she holds close.
Later the brother locks her up, the victim becoming the victor. Dolores however escapes captivity and instead of killing him or attempting to at least, she flees, leaving him with the knowledge that she very well could’ve tried. I guess she realized that the only way to end the conflict was for her to stop fighting and so this ended their feud….?

Maybe im misinterpreting shit, but her initial hatred of the brother feels incredibly unjustified, especially her resorting to physical violence against him out of spite
She cant really expect him to treat her with any form of kindness when she spent the majority of her time beating and resenting him can she?
