Literally his best album in all aspects its just perfect rnb trap. People giving too much attention to albums like rodeo or astroworld but Birds influenced this direction in the genre the most
best info about this info: - its underrated - not overplayed so it was avoided calling "overplayed" and "overrated" even on its release date in 2016. - one of the songs only has a billion (more than 2 actually) and its travis most streamed songs - sdp interlude is the perfect song to be edit worthy - every travis fans likes first take and guidance but its so underrated it has under 80 million streams
Birds is a album that grows on you after the third listen maybe, when i first listened to it, i ranked it as his 5th album in myr ranking. But now after listening to it for 3-5 times it's placed 2nd for me it's so underrated. The goat of birds has so be Way Back, one of the best track Travis efter dropped
INSANO is a good introduction to Cudi, especially since you fw trap and hype shit so much its very good at displaying his incorporation of his ear candy weird melodies and character specific lyrics into those kinds of sounds but for the most part its very dif from his other work. After INSANO, Man on the Moon is a must hear Travis actually modeled Rodeo quite a bit after that album
This album is criminally underrated, trav fans know just how good this album is. Just because it wasn't played on the radios etc as astroworld people forget about this masterpiece.
I can’t lie, I’m such a big fan of Travis and his artistry I always find it hard to rank songs/albums, my answer frequently changes depending on my mood and stuff😂
It’s crazyyyy I got pornography, ok alright and coordinate rn, 2 weeks ago it was apple pie, pornography and skeletons. It’s crazy because his sound on every song just changes and most rappers can’t do that, that’s what makes Laflame a genius artist/musician. Like rocky for instance to me just sounds so repetitive, future sounds repetitive, lil baby sounds repetitive don’t get me wrong there good just so plain.
@@RickGrimesLover_ definitely agree, the majority of rappers love a copy and paste of the same generic shit, Travis and a handful of others push the boundaries, experiment and really try different stuff
2016 isn’t Cudi’s beginning. If you haven’t, definitely check out his Man on the Moon trilogy. 1 and 2 are legendary. Back in 2009 and 2010. That’s some good shit.
@@treylife_ yes, idk why Travis didn’t put this on the album. Everytime I hear the interlude I have to turn it off and turn on the extended version on SoundCloud or RUclips

Should listen to the sdp extended
does he rap on it?

I understand why he cut the extended one down, it’s like 7 mins lol I don’t disagree the extended one is a masterpiece tbh but I get why he did it
