I have rich soil but live in very hot desert. Even with rich soil and regular fertilizing and daily watering and trellising, I have NEVER had this many cucumbers.
Add shade cloth. Maybe something in the 40-50% range. I'm in a very hot area as well. Light shade was a game changer. If you're growing in pots shading the containers is really important. The soil can be 10-20 F hotter than the air temperature.
@@renel7303 We have 40% shade cloth but this year it just didn't do the trick. Hopefully this year will be better. On the other hand, my daughter lives in the Palm Springs area. She has a Persian cucumber in a 15 gal. pot that she moved into the shade when temps got up to near120 and it started producing again. It's a year and a half old and going strong.
Nice information sir thank you, sir i got one problem, i mixed and kept soil, cow dung manure, trichoderma and neem cake , covered with plastic bori, but after 2 days fungus got attack, so will be it fine if i dry in direct sun.
Grow now and during first 15 days keep the soil little moist at all times for constant growth....plant seeds at the final spot ...make sure they get good amount of sun exposure (5-7 hrs )

Yes dry it in sun for 3-4 days after each day just mix it well n turn it so that all the soil can get sun exposure

19:19:19 can be used but I recommend only organic fertilizers for vegetables such as cattle manure, rock dust and sea weed extract
