I don't hate her, but i have noticed the types of people who do hate her. 1) are the people who hate her solely based on the usage of "kurosaki-kun" and that's pretty much it. For some reason they love to write her off just because of that. 2) are the ones who say she didn't get character developement, some of them thinks that way because a) she is not a fighter, and because of that she didn't develop, although they should read the fullbring arc again then if they think so, b) she is in love with ichigo, in some fans mind, they think its a crush, and she should get over it, or else she won't develop. 3) are the ones we all know, the batshit ichiruki fans, not the sane ones, the crazy ones. They constantly compare her to Rukia, in every comment section, they sometimes also feel insecure about themselves, and because Orihime is not like them, they hate her and self insert themselves as Rukia, I don't get the whole feelings jealous over a fictional character but okay....But Honestly Orihime is probably my second favorite female character, and all the hate stopped bothering me along time ago, after all the people who actively hate on her, write dumbass essays about her, truly needs to get out more.

Thing with Kubo is he likes subtlety, thats why its really hard to see these things. Tbh the manga did it better than the anime. No one realizes how Ichigo acts around Orihime. Its so much different than when he is with the others. He is always gentle and careful around her. I could give many examples, but it would be too long lol.

Am I the only one who actually loved the fact that Rukia and Ichigo didn’t end up together? Throughout the series I tried to see the two of them as a couple but in all honesty all I saw were two best friends. I think it’s really refreshing to have an anime where the female and male lead don’t end up together. I also think that Renji and Rukia had a lot of chemistry as kids but it didn’t develop till later since all that stuff with her getting adopted happened. And with Orihime, I also think it’s cool that she isn’t a “super strong” character. There are a lot of physically strong characters in the series so I feel that Orihime not being particularly skilled in that field added a different touch. I also have to point out that she has other strengths. For example, there have been many occasions when she was put in a dangerous situation and even though she knows that she isn’t as strong as the others she always tries to help and never backs down from the danger of it. Just because it’s not physical strength it doesn’t mean it’s not a strength. Also Ichigo and Orihime are both more shy characters when it comes to romantic feelings, so it’s not really surprising that all the “romantic” moments between them were minimal throughout the series. Anyway, I know I’m super late since the manga is already over but I’ve always wanted to share my take on it. (And if anyone comments please keep in mind this is just my personal opinion. I don’t expect everyone to agree but please don’t be mean, thanks!!😊)

She is barely around him during the Hueco Mundo and Aizen stuff, isn't in the fullbring arc until like the last few chapters, and isn't really around Ichigo during the Thousand Year Blood War. This is why I'm always baffled when people say Kubo gave them the most romantic development when he never did, the fillers mostly did. If anything Orihime spends alot more screen time with Ichigo which also boggles my mind as to why people act as if Ichigo and Rukia had any sort of hints of a romantic relationship when the biggest developments between them happened in the Soul Society Arc and even then it was just showing Ichigo trying to save someone who he considered a good friend. Past this arc, Rukia either just shows up and does basic friend stuff like cheer him up or is just not seen around Ichigo. In terms of relationship to him, shes literally Tatsuki but with a bit more screen time. A friend of Ichigo who happens to be a female. Orihime is literally the one since DAY one who is shown to have romantic feelings for Ichigo. She's had the moments of being shy or fantasizing about him and she even stated her love for him (which tends to be a dead giveaway in Shounen manga that this will be the end game girl) Hell, I knew for sure that they were going to get together when she literally gushes over Ichigo inviting her inside during the fullbring arc. Sure you don't have moments where Ichigo shows romantic interest towards her but Ichigo was never that type of character to begin with. He was always focused on something else and honestly he really did have issues that were bigger than "oh man I'm crushing on her". If anything Ichigo seemed like how an actual busy teen would behave like and clearly after things calmed down, he realized his emotions towards her and acted on them. Sure it is nice to get moments when both characters show some romantic moments but for certain characters it just wouldn't work, Ichigo was one of them.

In my had i couldn't ever picture Rukia and ichigo ending up together i don't know why, maybe because of the age gap. At that time it felt weird to me for Rukia as 150 years old to be with 15+ years ichigo.

She didn't actually get hit by a car, that was her hollow brother attacking her and she somehow thought it was a car hitting her. Remember she says she got hit by a car and Rukia looked at her bruise and said that's definitely a hollow attack. She was walking across the street and was rammed by a hollow and despite not seeing anything she thought she must have been hit, she didn't know what a hollow was after all. Also she didn't settle for Renji she always was with him and it's fine.

Past this arc, Rukia either just shows up and does basic friend stuff like cheer him up or is just not seen around Ichigo. In terms of relationship to him, shes literally Tatsuki but with a bit more screen time. A friend of Ichigo who happens to be a female.
Orihime is literally the one since DAY one who is shown to have romantic feelings for Ichigo. She's had the moments of being shy or fantasizing about him and she even stated her love for him (which tends to be a dead giveaway in Shounen manga that this will be the end game girl)
Hell, I knew for sure that they were going to get together when she literally gushes over Ichigo inviting her inside during the fullbring arc. Sure you don't have moments where Ichigo shows romantic interest towards her but Ichigo was never that type of character to begin with. He was always focused on something else and honestly he really did have issues that were bigger than "oh man I'm crushing on her". If anything Ichigo seemed like how an actual busy teen would behave like and clearly after things calmed down, he realized his emotions towards her and acted on them.
Sure it is nice to get moments when both characters show some romantic moments but for certain characters it just wouldn't work, Ichigo was one of them.

Since the first time i started watching Bleach and when Orihime was introduced into the series, i always shiped her and ichigo. In my had i couldn't ever picture Rukia and ichigo ending up together i don't know why, maybe because of the age gap. At that time it felt weird to me for Rukia as 150 years old to be with 15+ years ichigo.

She didn't actually get hit by a car, that was her hollow brother attacking her and she somehow thought it was a car hitting her. Remember she says she got hit by a car and Rukia looked at her bruise and said that's definitely a hollow attack. She was walking across the street and was rammed by a hollow and despite not seeing anything she thought she must have been hit, she didn't know what a hollow was after all.
Also she didn't settle for Renji she always was with him and it's fine.

Orihime's brother saved her by pulling her out of the car's way by her leg. Rukia thought she was attacked because she had no reason to think a hollow would help Orihime.

Orihime finds them and she's injured and she tells them she thinks she got hit by a car but she never saw one. Rukia tells Ichigo her wounds are 100% from a hollow. It was her brother repeatedly trying to kill her.
