Hello, at that time I played spirocore for 2 years. Many French basses are very robustly built and sound healthy with strong strings. After that I tried many Pirastro and am only now very happy with (for me discovery) Daddario Kaplan - also strong.
@@philharmoniaduo559 thanks for the reply. I dont know if my bass could take spiros - already very aggressive sounding with belcantos. Haven't tried the kaplans, will give them a go!
@@alfieharries ...belcantos are quite soft and therefore not good on my kb. The Kaplan I know only for 2 weeks and have only the hard version there. I order now the medium strength to try. Good luck with the search.
Thank you very much. The bass was built around 1900 in France. It is quite big bass. I have it since 3 years. The previous owner has been playing it for 50 years ! played jazz. I love that instrument and his pizzicato-sound!
Beautiful kontrabass sound, so musical!! Thanks!
what a relaxed but deep bass sound!!
Bravi!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wunder wunderschön - danke, ihr beiden!
Bravisimo, muy variado repertorio y de calidad, me gustó el Ritual de Saksala.
