What is alkaline water?
Everyone knows it’s important to drink as much water as you can to keep hydrated. Your body will also function easier. When you drink water regularly, your chances of getting sick are also much lower.
Alkaline water is said to offer all this, and a whole lot more. The alkaline in the name refers to the pH level of the water. So what is this pH level? A pH level tells you whether a substance is acidic or alkaline. It’s measured on a scale of 0 to 14.
So what are the benefits of alkaline water?

In one study conducted in 2012, results showed drinking alkaline water, with 8.8 pH value and naturally carbonated, can deactivate an enzyme called pepsin. This enzyme is primarily responsible for acid reflux in people.

If you’re looking for naturally occurring alkaline water, you’d have to look for water that passes over rocks and picks up minerals along the way. These minerals cause your alkaline level to go up. Water from a spring is usually one of the places you find naturally occurring water with high pH levels.
Possible side effects
Listen up! Before you commit to alkaline water, there’s a few things you need to know. Alkaline water in itself is safe to consume. But there are dangers to drinking too much.
For instance, alkaline water could reduce the amount of natural acidity in your stomach. This acidity is necessary for the overall health of your body. Because it kills the bacteria. This stomach acid also helps ensure no pathogens get into your bloodstream. Killing off that acidity can be harmful in the long run.

i drink alkaline water 10:5 everymorning for high cholesterol fatty liver 2 week now fat reduce then i will start drinking 9.5 daily at least 2litters aday coz I'm a diabetic 400+ sugar without medicine

Interesting the claim is that it reduces heartburn. I came here literally because I'm drinking alkaline water right now and have heartburn which is rare for me.

Who knows what alkaline water you were taking but I drank and used a rivers osmosis alkaline water system and had my sugar levels higher then I ever had them and know drinking alkaline water from a machine that I bought has been the best thing I've done for my health, sugar levels are low and more consistent and blood pressure back to normal.
You are drinking the wrong water or you are not 100% human thats why it didnt work for you.
