I saved a mom when she was pregnant. She hurt hur front paw and couldn't use it. I let her stay outside and I fed her till the babies were born. She hid them for a while, but then brought them over for dinner when they were about 3 MO the old. I loved it.
About 3 years ago I raised 4 babies that were orphaned. I gradually found them day by day in bad condition. All from the same litter in the same area. Bottle feeding four was a handful but very rewarding. I kept them outside though (after they were older) and they came in the house when I let them. After they were older, I released them into the wild and would come back at night when I rang the dinner bell. They kept coming back for 2 years, one with her own babies that I could get close too, I never dared touch just in case. It was the coolest experience although 4 was tough. It ate up most of my time that spring and summer 👍
I hope your coworker didn't release the others because that would have been a death sentence. I hope your area had a wildlife sanctuary. Baby raccoons have to stay with their mother for a year or more because they're so intelligent that their mother has to teach them how to survive. Please, if anyone does this, please take them to a wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary to be raised and properly released. Not everyone can take on the challenge of a wild animal, but I'm glad you adopted Tito. He will have a great life with you. I'm sure you've already baby proofed all the cabinets because they have hands and know how to use them. Even my cats can get into my uppermost kitchen cabinets! I live in the middle of Los Angeles but still have a surprising amount of wildlife here, including raccoons and opossums. I am currently feeding a mother raccoon and her adolescent offspring. They are so interesting and intelligent. If I forget to feed them, I will find the mother staring at me through the open living room window. They are pretty comfortable around people, being from the big city and all. But I just want to stress that people take any found baby wildlife to a sanctuary. Leaving them with their mother would be best, but I understand this client wasn't having it.
Wow, 3 years later I watch this and seeing tito makes my heart warm. If you don't know, Tito has been lost for over a year and just because it's a year, I still have hope.
I just started watching this channel I luv it but I’ve had to back track I realize he’s ran off got out thru vent seen that video already ….I’m hopeing he’s came back tho…🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I’m wishing for best but preparing for worst…..wondering if you’ve ever seen Leon the lobsters channel?
I love how natural you seem to be interacting with tito. You are a special kind of person to take in a raccoon and care for him like that. Thanks for sharing this experience with your videos. Love them!
Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it. So nice of you guys to adopt them. I love Tito and I'm in New York so don't think I can have one but, meanwhile I'll keep watching your Tito. Take care, be well. 💞💕🙏❤️💚💚💖💜💙🐺
You Pest Control peeps were LIFE SAVERS on our military bases! Most people would call us MPs to come deal with skunks, snakes, pet ungodly big spiders that got "loose" in housing, and so on. We were NEVER trained for that [dont show that on a recruiter poster let me tell ya]. But, one call to you guys, and you would take care of the issue for us soldiers. It was a big help, especially if it was a dangerous animal, and all of the MPs were on calls already. Yall came out and really helped our military community and families. So here's to you Pest Control!
What happened to his other siblings? I hope your coworker just didn’t drop him in the woods... that’s pretty cruel of him he could of contacted a rescue
That’s so sad that the guy didn’t know that the mother would have come back for her babies. Had he left them outside the house she would have found them. I hope the other baby’s didn’t meet a slow cold death by being left out in the woods to die. Hopefully he didn’t really do that and took them to a wild life rehabilitation centre or something. Tito seems like a real sweetheart ❤
This exactly, moms will do anything and everything to get their kits, a rehabilitation specialist would have been the proper course but this young man seems to have his heart in the right place
I'm enjoying your videos. The background music is well chosen. It makes the whole picture a memorable experience. You're very good with animals. Don't stop with your videos! Let us see all the chapters! There's so much kindness to it! I find myself thinking: "How can I sit there watching the news anymore.?
The mother was probably desperate for her babies when she came back to the nest. Raccoon mothers are extremely protective mothers. They could have taken the babies out, put them in a release container up a height somewhere so the Mother could return and take them but the babies couldn’t escape, then blocked the original attic space up. the Mother would have taken the babies to a new den site when it was quieter. Some home owners have no patience, they want it dealt with there and then they won’t even give it a few hours to get the problem solved. At least he has a loving home now.
just curious, did you wait to see if the mother came back? Also, how do you know they wouldn't survive? also, why didn't you take them to a wildlife sanctuary? I understand if something happened to the mother, then they wouldn't survive on their own in the wild. But you didn't say anything about that at all, or whether you had looked for a sanctuary. So thought I'd ask . Thanks! And Tito sure is a cutey.
Thanks Mitchell :) for sharing YOUR GREAT VIDEOS! You do an excellent job of putting them together! I hope to see more & I'm sure others do too! :) I MISS the racoons I fostered this summer, VERY MUCH!!!
Man he seems so intelligent. It's crazy how racoons stand on their hind legs and use their front legs/arms almost in the same fashion as humans as opposed to cats and dogs
I second Julie's mention of puzzles. Think about parrot toys. Parrots like raccoons, need stimulation, to work for food and treats, to keep them happy, healthy and mentally stable. Good job!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!! I love racoons!!! They are so cute!!! Give him a kiss and a hug for me or whatever kind of affection he is comfortable with!!! I am going to keep up with you Tito!! THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR JOURNEY!! Greetings from The Big Apple!! :0)
Tito is a cutie I was lic up north to care for racoons if they stayed from thier mom or were hurt so I had many at once. I see that Tito is from the wild and not domesticated. There is some difference between them of course the domestics are way more calm especially if they were bred for years and years you are doing a great job and it's nice to see even though he's a handful I can see when they get older they calm a bit I am thinking of getting one here in the south. Miss having them. Keep up the good work every day will be an adventure for you
If this happened to me (in a state where pet raccons are legal.) I would have taken them all and keeping 1 or 2, and giving them the good life as pets, and taking the others to a wildlife rehabilitator, where they could at least have some chance at life.
Aw, that's such a sweet story. I'm so glad you decided to raise him and I'm glad your coworker decided to give the little guys at least a chance. What happened to the other 3? Were they released in the wild? Also I wouldn't be surprised if that home owner got pissed af when/if the momma racoon came back.
Thats so sweet of you. I would of took all of them lol but thats just me. Im crazy like that and love animals. I mean if he was gona release the others i woulda gave them to a shelter or something. But 4 racoons is a lot lol.
Tito The Raccoon You could've taken them and given them to a wildlife rescue/shelter. I'm binge watching old Tito videos right now. We have a bunch of raccoons that think our trash bins and outdoor cat food bowls are their restaurants. 🙄 Their babies as so cute, though.
Great video, I own a real estate company and acquired three babies abandoned at one of our houses. Wildlife rehabilitators in my county are full and can't take any extra babies. We've had them for about 3 days and feeding cat replacement milk they seem to be doing fine. The only concern I have and you might be able to answer this because you've raised Tito from a baby. What were your concerns about Tito having rabies and the possibility of you getting infected Obviously now that's not a concern because you've had him so long
My parents have raised 2 baby racons in the last 10 years (one was found as a baby at the base of a tree - the 2nd was found just as you found yours). The where very social with the dogs not so much with the cats. As they got older (after 2 years), they stayed outside more. One would bring some of it's friends back to the house for meals my parents would place outside. Every other night they came in walked around inside eat and leave. Unfortunately they both met there fate crossing the street. East coast is really strict about owning racoons due to rabies however. What state are you in that allows them and what concern do you have in regards to Tito having rabbies?
I have a 5 month old (guess) raccoon named Gumbeaux. I would love to talk to you about his cage. His diet. Everything. Tito is adorable. Gumbeaux goes crazy for marshmallows too
Tania Bailey Make sure to neuter him or his personality will change once he reaches sexual maturity. Very important, along with his vaccinations and heartworm meds if you live where there are mosquitoes.
I know this video is OLD, but what happened to Tito’s siblings? I hope they were taken to an animal shelter. Like a place that rehabilitates them and then releases them if they are to be set free. Cute video! I wouldn’t think you’d be able to give raccoons marshmallows. He was going crazy over that bag 🥰🤣
"Sorry, he's going crazy for some marshmallows." Awweeeeeee
O.O?
He is greedy af xd

4mrChitown so did her paw eventually heal then?
4mrChitown but that's awesome! I follow a couple people who take care of wild raccoons. Seems like a neat experience!
Tito The Raccoon yes. She brought her babies almost every night for dinner. We fed them all. They left when they got old enough, looking for love.
At first I thought that you were taking about a human...😥
Flaming panda lmaoooo

He took all of them, including the mother
They did realise them...
So sad seeing people "rescue" wildlife. PLEASE take these animals to wildlife rescues where they can be rehabilitated and released.

I wish i can get a raccoon, but im in california, which is a strict NO FUN zone
Jake bacon you guys got weed tho
No brain zone either.
Josh yes very cool. We have drugs 🤠🤠
We got tons of things but we need more legal pets!
I wish I could but I live in Australia so I have a pet wallaby instead
Damn you’re a hero man. Not many people would’ve done what you did to prevent a raccoon from encountering real harm out in the woods~God bless
I love how natural you seem to be interacting with tito. You are a special kind of person to take in a raccoon and care for him like that. Thanks for sharing this experience with your videos. Love them!
SO glad he's with you; loved and well cared for. He's ADORABLE!! Thank you for sharing. ❤🦝😇

I just liked, subscribed and binged watched majority of your videos lol.. I loved it🤦🏾♀️
You're a good dude and I wish you luck with Tito it seems like you got a special bond

I love raccoons. They’re so pesky but that makes them adorable! ❤️🐾

This is the best RUclips Channel to ever exist
Back when Tito was a baby can’t believe he went missing 😢
What happened to Tito's siblings tho?
CrazyCatLady78 that’s what I’m wondering
They left them in the wild. You don't hear him say that?
Used as sacrifice in some ritual.

Nice of you to care for Tito.. What happened to his siblings? I hope he didn't release them in the woods. I wonder where their Mother was.
Me: Why does he have marshmallows?
Tito: GIVE ME MARSHMALLOWS!!! I WAN’T MY MARSHMALLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awwww Tito is so cute!I wish my tortoise had an active personality,but he is still a baby reptile ;w;
Should have done something about those other racoons. Finding shelters are not hard.

“A Bucket Full of Raccoons,” great name for a band.
OMG you're like a crack dealer only for raccoons and using mini marshmallows hahahaha, so cute!
Tito going after the marshmallows was so cute and that he trusts you enough to eat out your hand
“He doesn’t sit still unless there’s food”
* going nuts trying to get food*
“ he doesn’t sit still unless there’s food” sounds like me lol
He's adorable, and you are a very good person. I bet he is a real handful, and very mischievous. Does he let you sleep at night?
😂 the raccoon trying to get marshmallows is hilarious
Adorable and beautiful the relationship u two have
We adore Tito. I hope he will be back with us soon.
So did your coworkers take his siblings too? Or did they get released 😔
Candice FalkinsAllen I head they were token care of till they were old enough to be released

Do you think any of the 3 siblings survived? Wasn’t there a mom as long as the homeowner released them behind the house?
