I remember this like it was yesterday. I was 17 going to look at schools and was actually in NYC during this series. Brings back so many memories because I was AIMing my friend from my hotel room about how we used to do this to each other all the time. He did not see the game so he looked it up on RUclips and even back then something like this would be put up within 24 hours. In hockey practice in high school my friend and I would face the goalie and just look him in the face and move all around to distract him while people took shots in open skate time. Drury was also telling him "keep the stick down". This was because if the puck was to hit his stick it had a good chance of being a high stick
Hey you should make a video about what happened to Brian Finley he was a 6th overall pick in 1999 as a goalie never played
That was the only time I liked Avery, when he mentioned Phaneuf's sloppy seconds lmao.
Not spitting on anyone's relationship is the second Sean Avery's (unwritting) rule. That may be not about sportsmanship but about normal human behavior, but hey, like that thing facing Brodeur, it was never done before, and never done after as well!
I like how the league closed that loophole right away. Now, is there a Marchand rule to punish lickers?
Sort of? They deemed it to fall under unsportsmanlike conduct after the fact, as I recall.
And now with the Arizona Coyotes walking off to Utah and Salt Lake City i think its about time to ask:
What Happened to Brandon Gormley?
the fact the avery gomez and jagr was the ranger pp unit was laughable hahaha
To me... Stupid... but ballzy and funny move.
IQ decision... 0
But if it works, it's goddamn funny.
