Do you know Star Wars and Millenium Falcon? In studio they have the same position with Haruna the "prow", M&M on the opposite sides from Asami and Miho like MF. You can see this in the studio show 2020 (Burden time, Eagle fly free, ecc...)!
great job on the reaction love how you break it down and explain stuff!!!! the ladies never disappoint. they can play any style and kick ass!!! have a great day.

Asami said that “Dystopian Symphony “ has a suite like image with various developments like progressive rock. According to Midori the Song is about Ludwig von Beethoven’s sorrow, with Distorted Sound reporting it’s specifically about him overcoming his hearing loss. Asami revealed that Miyako composed it based on Beethoven’s Piano sonata No. 8 Midori believes it marks the first time she has played this kind of progressive rock. 🤘🎸🔥🐺
They did release a “Best Of” compilation box set late December last year that includes instrumental versions of 22 songs. Even included a sheet music for each song and instrument. Not specifically instrumental pieces, but still a fantastic listen. I was surprised often by what all the girls did in their songs under Asami’s vocals. Whole new perspective. The compilation is still available. Only downside is sheet music booklet was a limited run.
Thanks for the reaction! I may be wrong,my opinion may be subjective, professional musicians and critics may object to me, but today "Dystopia Symphony" is the best that the Asami & Miyako duet has created. Strong lyrics + powerful music = masterpiece
That KILLER song! Mind-blowing piece of music for the nine themes in it. NINE. Some rock bands will produce a whole album if having 9 themes. I almost can hear Miyako saying "aaa its ok to use them in one song, I have more ideas in my head for other songs".
LOVEBITES - Dystopia Symphony lyrics: Like it's an end of world Making me fall apart Pushing me to the edge of the darkness Taking my breath away, and now it taking away my emotion Why was I the one He chosen Hear me cry when I'm running away from the storm It's almost right behind me The shade of moon above, wandering high in sky Following everywhere in a silence The shower of the light melting into the sleeping deep night Lost in maze, it's all I hear now Echo in my mind from far away Wish to hold it in my heart to feel the love Sadness, madness, edginess, and sense of loss Breaking through tragedy, somewhere There is much more to see beyond I stand to face bravely God, Heavenly light Shining in deep beneath Bringing a life to crystal bloom Heavenly bless Lay me in peace with this melody Like it's an end of world Making me fall apart Pushing me to the edge of the darkness Taking my breath away, and now it taking away my emotion Why was I the one He chosen Hear me cry when I'm running away from the storm It's almost right behind me Sadness, madness, edginess, and sense of loss Breaking through tragedy, somewhere There is much more to see beyond I stand to face bravely God, Heavenly light Shining in deep beneath Bringing a life to crystal bloom Heavenly bless Lay me in peace with this melody Heavenly light Shining in deep beneath Bringing a life to crystal bloom Heavenly bless Lay me in peace with this melody ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) & Mao
Came by to see your "Dys..." reaction. Amazing song. Here it is with the prelude as on the disc, "Paranoia > Dystopia Symphony" still audio, but haruna enhanced & 'cloud time lapse visuals' plus [cc] lyrics to both songs 12min total. Talk about story-telling (!) ruclips.net/video/yu0NwiC18y0/видео.html You could celebrate the 2 year anniversary of this reaction. September 8th. Paranoia is the one I call "Classical Thrash", but "Dys..." is Miyako, about Beethoven losing his hearing (I heard) Mind blowing that these two songs are basically still unknown, even in 'the LOVEBITES community' it seems. NEW "EP II" is a variety, all worthy of 'LOVEBITES" habitual raise-the-bar across-the-board approach. ruclips.net/p/OLAK5uy_mwZ3AF8CoBmatQmLebqmZzT0eoA2U3xJs I will be at the 'Frisco show, a dream come true for this old man &;-) 🐺 dreg👁
Since COVID started they have only done three shows, just after Glory Glory to the World was released and there were still strong health restrictions. One of those shows was recorded in the Heavy Metal Never Dies DVD and Dystopia Symphony wasn't played there. But it was played in one of the other shows. So the song has been played live, but it is not recorded. The song is written by Miyako during lockdowns and it speaks about her anxiety during that time of not being able to have a normal life, also while pregnant. A recommendation, check Mastermind01 from their second album.
Technically five shows since COVID started, but only four since the release of GGttW. The Ride for Vengeance tour itself was four different shows in 2021, in Aichi, Kanagawa, Tokyo and Osaka, respectively. And technically, Five of a Kind show at Zepp DiverCity was after COVID started, but it was before the heavy restrictions began in Japan.
I agree its better to see them play it. Its amazing that even after reacting to so many of their songs you can still find a LOVEBITES song that blows you away. And I'm with you - I want to see them do it, as with all their tracks, LIVE. Not long to wait now for news of the new bassist. I'm expecting a new track featuring the 5th element. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
"Like it's an end of world Making me fall apart Pushing me to the edge of the darkness Taking my breath away, and now it's taking away my emotion" "Sadness, madness, edginess, and sense of loss Breaking through tragedy, somewhere There is much more to see beyond I stand to face bravely" "God, Heavenly light Shining in deep beneath Bringing a life to crystal bloom Heavenly bless Lay me in peace with this melody" Haruna.... she's really a Little Big Engine... keep running from the start till the end...
There is no better duo than M&M, non-stop they are. Great song, great react. You need to check out Mastermind 01, there's no music video just album cover (like this one) but it is a F banger!! 🐺
Good reaction this time too. The members of LOVEBITES are surprised every time. Not to mention the technique, but I am very impressed by the composition of the song and the balance of the whole band that makes use of the vocals. I'm also looking forward to the next video!Thank you daRiff ‼︎
This was nice to see after finishing work haha. What a great song. I knew you'd like it haha. I am so keen to see it live, too. I want to see all of Glory Glory to the World live.
I think this is the direction Lovebites 2.0 will go. If you listen to this and Nameless Warrior there is a lot of synth work. I also have a sneaky suspicion that the band wasn’t headed in the direction Miho had imagined, and is a contributing factor to her departure. Total guesswork both of them.
If THIS is the direction they are going..... Symphony X is going to get knocked off that #1 spot! And I will be the happiest guy on the planet! Because this is exactly the stuff I like the most.
You’re not alone in that line of thinking. I’m right there with you. Furthermore, and this is entirely speculation, but I wonder if Miyako and Miho got along very well. Seeing as Miyako started as only a supporting member, but then became paramount in the song stylings since then, pays suspicious credence to Miho’s decision. She certainly didn’t jam as hard during the newer material as she’s did with the early stuff
The "dwarves in the hall" you're thinking of is "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg. They pretty much copied that piece for that part of the song.
@@TheCyberMantis Epica also did "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" on their live album "The Classical Conspiracy". I'm sure there are lots of other bands that have used it as well. Other parts of Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite have been made into metal versions as well, Midnattsol's song "Tapt Av Håp" for example is based on "Solveig's Song".
What I would love to see them do if they ever play this live is put Asami on the piano and Miyako on the synths, and extend the middle section into a keyboard duel between the two! Asami is nowhere near Mayako's level on the piano, but she is still quite good, and I think they could pull off a dual-keys jam session! It would be a fun departure from the usual dueling guitars we hear on all the other songs! As for the question of whether Haruna is playing on the recording, I'm pretty sure she is. I have never heard that they use programmed drum parts on the recordings. They do sometimes use drum machines during the songwriting and composition phase, for writing the guitar parts before Haruna has necessarily laid down the actual drum parts. But the final recordings are 100% Haruna.
Masterpiece 🤘 This has been played live once to my understanding but no recording equipment present unfortunately. Right after the release of this song is when Miho announced her departure so theres a small list of Lovebites songs that havent been put in front of a camera yet that they plan on doing in the future. So i imagine this will eventually have live footage. This song is a song all fans have been waiting to see live so your not the only one and personally this is my favorite song from this EP. "Puppet On Strings" is another song that hasnt been played live yet

Love that miyako use Beethoven Symphony Number 3 for this song.

You got to listen to "Paranoia" from that same EP. Great thrash song with a symphony background.
Finally you did it.

LOVEBITES - Dystopia Symphony lyrics:
Like it's an end of world
Making me fall apart
Pushing me to the edge of the darkness
Taking my breath away, and now it taking away my emotion
Why was I the one He chosen
Hear me cry when I'm running away from the storm
It's almost right behind me
The shade of moon above, wandering high in sky
Following everywhere in a silence
The shower of the light melting into the sleeping deep night
Lost in maze, it's all I hear now
Echo in my mind from far away
Wish to hold it in my heart to feel the love
Sadness, madness, edginess, and sense of loss
Breaking through tragedy, somewhere
There is much more to see beyond
I stand to face bravely
God, Heavenly light
Shining in deep beneath
Bringing a life to crystal bloom
Heavenly bless
Lay me in peace with this melody
Like it's an end of world
Making me fall apart
Pushing me to the edge of the darkness
Taking my breath away, and now it taking away my emotion
Why was I the one He chosen
Hear me cry when I'm running away from the storm
It's almost right behind me
Sadness, madness, edginess, and sense of loss
Breaking through tragedy, somewhere
There is much more to see beyond
I stand to face bravely
God, Heavenly light
Shining in deep beneath
Bringing a life to crystal bloom

Lay me in peace with this melody
Heavenly light
Shining in deep beneath
Bringing a life to crystal bloom
Heavenly bless
Lay me in peace with this melody

This EP is amazing.
They record on the same studio Nightwish record their albums.
Only the mix was made on Finnvox. Almost entire álbum was recorded at home by the Girls.
That middle section has like a tumas hollapinen. NIGHTWISH type of influence like Pan or Tribal. Might just be my imagination running wild.
