G'day from Australia and thank you for sharing, I have used cling wrap before but not a cereal bag, and can't wait to try the water on back trick!
Oh yes, cling wrap will work. Almost any type of plastic will work, I believe. Cellophane bags, unfortunately don't work and I have lots of them. Happy to inspire you. ❤️
