Nice that you’re back to the castle 😊 the tower definitely needs a couple of more levels to make it look more precarious, and why not a Rapunzel scene on the top for extra silliness 😊
Robin, I've been around since you built that Castle in it's original glory back in 2019 - it was part of what inspired me to launch into my whole Medieval Realm theme in 2022 and I'm close to finishing. So to see a bit more work back on this treasure is quite pleasing! I like the change with the tower additions, I think it looks great in that context!
I just begun my LEGO hobby again. My 80s LEGO city is smashing into the 2024 LEGO. Something I noticed with collectors is that it is to crowded so you can't see the trees cause of the forest.
Not sure if this was done deliberately but I really liked it that the street sweeper was right behind the horse and carriagee (to sweep up al the horse droppings?)
Hey robin love the castle but the only change I’d add is the 2nd tallest point on the tower add a bell or horn as an alert for the rest of the tower that war is coming.
Well done Robin. I must say, I thought we were going to see all those nice new banners and shields you been buying. I really can't wait to see what you do with all those knights. The tower looks amazing and you are right, how was that not in there since day one! Looks good! love the castle.
Yay Castle!!!!!!😃 What a great biuld looking like the old great castle sets. When you said “the sky is the limit” you should have said the ceiling is the limit. 😆 Looks fantastic in the city like it was there all the time. I want it higher 1-3 more levels! Build it taller than the bean stalk! Also add lots more flags and even some old looking lanterns around the castle? Can there be lots more castle minifigures and scenes? 🤔 Great extra to the very awesome castle!👍 JJ F
Exceptional. Love it. I would definitely add one more level to make the large tower more dominant. After all royals would never spare any expense to protect themselves and to show their power….lol😜. I have a large castle now myself, but you are making me think mom castles are in order. I actually have the old Black Knights Castle that was my son’s, back in the 90’s. I be used many of the pieces throughout my city , but most of them are in one building I made back 7 years ago when I started my city. That’s it, you’ve got me hooked now…..thank you Robin for the inspiration, you’re the best. Cheers from Canada.👍😍🇨🇦
Looks fantastic, but how about taking the lookout off the tower on a tower and putting him on the tower, then making the tower on a tower taller and putting room on top with a Princess in it - Rapunzel, with her hair stretching down to the courtyard! 😆
Really awesome! I wish I had space for something similar :) I vote for at least one more level on the main tower - now it is on the same level with top of the front sentry tower and the gate house and feel a little bit flat. One additional level would make it look more majestic ;) Also - how about one sentry with bow and arrow instead of the halberd?
Excellent addition to your castle! Russ is the man! 😊 Thanks Robin, I was wondering when you were going to get back to the castle, and now I'm happy 😂.
Hey Robin, I love your work. And I’ve been hooked on your channel since I got back into building in 2023. I do like the facade, however I wonder if your facade would look a bit better if you were to allow the tower to be a bit more deep into the castle yard…and then have a smaller tower right next to it at the current depth. The variation of the tower depths immediately next to each other may create a more vivid facade…just a thought. I do agree that one more level on the main tower would be more grand! Great job!
I guess that would need lots more corner panels, haha. That's the limiting factor. I'll take it up another level first, then see how it looks. I can always add more depth later!
That's true if the whole city. Some jobs I put off so long I forget then entirely. I have a load of greenery pieces to make, amongst other things,... a shrubbery!
Very cool, BrickNottingham Castle looks great now! I was wondering how you were going to expand the castle, considering there’s no space to expand, other than how you did it!!
Every time I see your castle I'm somewhat reminded of the quest for the holy grail. English K-nnnnniggets, your mother was a hampster and your father smelt of elderberries. I think a cow being launched from the castle walls would be a subtle nod to the genius of Monty Python.
it's not centered at 7:41 and it's really bugging me. I understand it's because it's an even-width floor on an odd-width tower base (which it must be as the portcullis is 3 wide), but that doesn't make it less awkward to my eye. it doesn't match with the rest of the odd tower as it goes on, either. The main problem I can see is that filler plate between the two angles. As a suggestion for fixing it, perhaps remove that piece and bring in the edges to symmetric, then place some wooden planks over the created gap as if there's been damage and they haven't had the stonemason in yet to fix it.
I hope I'm not the only one who looks at that carriage couple and sees James Potter and Lily Evans.... Cuz even my non potterhead brother took one look and did. 😂
Haha, I used to hate them, now I love them. Although these big pieces aren't so great for any use other than their original one. They're less adaptable!
How long I've been waiting for more castle content! 😅 Great design, especially considering all the large pieces. That gate certainly feels illegal. Fascinating that a piece made for an even stud frame can fit in an odd stud gap. Apart from those castle wall pieces Lego certainly hasn't done enough odd stud builds and pieces. For a bit more realism I think the large section needs to be one story taller; If the castle is breached and attackers get access to the small tower you don't want them at eye level with the people defending the last refuge. 🙈 Other than that it's a really great addition to both the castle and the overall skyline.
Wocha, I'm afraid I not as keens I hoped I'd be🙁 Whilst I really like the concept and overall execution that top tower just doesn't work for me. It feels like the wall of the Diddy tower needs to be at least in line with the wall of the big tower. Either that or there needs to be a whole lot more wacky construction to let us know that it's deliberately janky. As it is it just looks like you made a mistake whilst building. The addition to the skyline of good old BN is certainly welcome though, and that much accumulated old grey has to be respected.👍
Didn't you ever read those fantasy books as a kid? The pictures would always have impossibly tall and structurally improbable towers held up by clutch alone!
@@RobinHoodBricks If I go back to my childhood castles drawn by the likes of Ian Miller and John Blanche then it makes perfect sense, although having said that it needs to even more improbable to live in that demented headspace😉
Nice that you’re back to the castle 😊 the tower definitely needs a couple of more levels to make it look more precarious, and why not a Rapunzel scene on the top for extra silliness 😊
I personally think 1 to maybe even 2 more levels would make the tower even better.
I'll do one more and see how it looks!
The reveal was a Wow!! moment.
Sure was. Looks good!
love it, but i think the tower needs one more minifig on the second level. Maybe the falconer girl from the series 24.
Don't let the nasty Black Falcons in!
Gread build! Maybe you could remove that brown and tan facade which is beside the castle and expand the castle.
Move it, maybe. That's a nice facade!
@@RobinHoodBricks yes, you could put it somwere else in the city
Great video, it appears your man in the back of the castle is a Wheel right not a Blacksmith! lol! Love the new old tower!
You are right!
Yep. Another level on the tower would be beneficial. Nice to see you have the street cleaner following the horse drawn carriage.😀👍
Yes, most appropriate!
Robin can you put a throne on the top of the Tower for the King and Queen?? 👑🃏🔥

Oh I nearly made a joke about that but forgot it at the last minute before recording. I'll add some plop!
Hey robin love the castle but the only change I’d add is the 2nd tallest point on the tower add a bell or horn as an alert for the rest of the tower that war is coming.
Looks great packed and stacked 👍😁
It might be because it’s A symmetrical but I’d love to see another small tower on top
Hear is something you might like the Red Dragon from the 2013 lego castle theme the Evil Wizards tower
Well done Robin. I must say, I thought we were going to see all those nice new banners and shields you been buying. I really can't wait to see what you do with all those knights. The tower looks amazing and you are right, how was that not in there since day one! Looks good! love the castle.
I think that's going to be a different scene outside of the city. Not enough space for a joust here!
the castle looks fantastic.
Very nice! Add's a lot of depth!!! And nicely packed and stacked!!!😉
You said it!
I think one more level would help make it the tallest tower. Also a sentry on the big tower would help with color and interest there.
It certainly needs something!
Looks great Robin, definatly an upgrade. But a bit higher would be fantastic!
I think I agree. It looked tall before it was added!
Yay Castle!!!!!!😃

Great build Robin! I think you should add more levels to the tower, and potentially a ballista or something like that!
Good idea!

Looks Nice, Castle is one of the best Lego categories in the 80 and 90 ❤❤
Totally. They went through a golden age of Castle, Pirates, Space and City!
Fantastic work chap

You need to stack another tower to the tower, like a crow's nest on a ship. More towers! 😁
Wonderful build. I love the videos you make. Keep up the great work Robin see you!
Thanks, will do!
Excellent addition to your castle! Russ is the man! 😊 Thanks Robin, I was wondering when you were going to get back to the castle, and now I'm happy 😂.
Since those panel pieces are up against the wall, it might look better with the "outside" facing inward. Only a suggestion!
I agree for the facade bit, but the rest are facing outward so I think it makes more sense like this!
hoping all works out with the renos to your house so you can expand the lego room and your wife can get her room back that she wants
Looking great Robin... that castle is COMPACT & STACKED!!
Indeed. Love it!
Great addition as usually!!
An extra floor, yes! To me the Ross tower should really stick out.
Agreed!
Quite fun
Thanks, a bit!
I'm gonna be honest I didnt have anything to say this time but I wanted to let RUclips know I was engaged heh@@RobinHoodBricks
One more level on the new tower would be nice.
Yes, it seems less tall than I expected!

Nice addition, I never really payed attention to your castle before. I believe it could use a bit more greenery around the rocks and outside walls.
That's true if the whole city. Some jobs I put off so long I forget then entirely. I have a load of greenery pieces to make, amongst other things,... a shrubbery!
I'm gonna say go big or go home, put another section making it even higher! I would also like to see more sentries
Clearly I need more crown knights!
@@RobinHoodBricksI just assumed you kept spare minis somewhere in your forest of boxes 😜😜😜😜😜

Yeah, I'd love to add more and more but this bit may now be full, bar more attackers and another level on this tower maybe!
Hey Robin. I think that you should make the driver of the carriage hold a carrot ahead of the horse. I did this with mine, and I think it looks great!
With a fishing rod presumably?!
A fishing rod would definitely work. I didn’t have one. I used a combination of bars, with a whip at the end.
The ceiling is the limit 😜
Oh yeah!
Nice✨👌 looking good 🐱🐈👍
Cheers!

i'd put some archers

Remember it was made in the olden days by people with no classic education. Surely that makes it more authentic!
Yep. Another level in the tower would be beneficial. Nice to see you have the street cleaner following the horse drawn carriage.😀👍💩
Nice job needs more height I think.
I was wandering where all these knights and horses are going, all those jousting knights that is.
That'll be a different castle scene from the city, actually in the, slightly fantasy, past!
I like the new addition. What digs are you going to populate it with? Also what’s with the jack and the bean stalk cloud once right of the castle??
You must've missed that video. It was just a silly idea on finding those Duplo pieces. Another fun facade!
I hope I'm not the only one who looks at that carriage couple and sees James Potter and Lily Evans....
Cuz even my non potterhead brother took one look and did. 😂
I don't even know who they are. How's that for non potterhead!
“New” Tower definitely needs to go up at least 1 level higher.
Agreed. It looked taller on the desk and computer screen!
Yes, I thought those large prebuilt pieces were a cheat, took away the fun of building, but it does save on bricks that can be used elsewhere.
Haha, I used to hate them, now I love them. Although these big pieces aren't so great for any use other than their original one. They're less adaptable!
what table you use under city
IKEA Linnmon of assorted sizes. Adils and Olov legs. Enjoy!

I think I agree with all that. I was surprised the gate fitted so well. It does feel like a cheat but it slides quite well!

Looking good. The dragon 🐉 🐲 suit guy and girl could have a date night at the pub.
