What a kind land lord!
She is elderly and ought to consider retiring home. Leaving Lagos to a quieter village life with low cost of living must be her priority if she's reasonable. She's very inconsiderate and her children seem to have failed her. Very few landlords would be that gentle and generous.

Sometimes, the Lawyers deceive Tenant into thinking that they can live for free.
You will pay till the last day.
She doesn't have money to pay but could hire a lawyer, their mentality is that once they are given notice to quit, they wouldn't pay for the duration.

This is a sad situation for the defendant. I pray she gets help soon. However, she's only fixated on continue living in the apartment without pay. The landlord has tried so much for her and she's not seeing that. She should know that she cannot continue to live in somebody's house without pay.
She has money to feed herself and 12 children. She has money for hospital bills. She has money to hire a lawyer but she does not have money to pay her rent. Oga Landlord, you are not her priority.

This is a sad situation, things are tight for many - however this woman cannot live for free for over a year the landlord is extremely kind.It's scandalas that so many grandchildren would be left with this woman with no finacial support from her children they need not have any more children they themselves cannot care for.

We miss you judge funmi. The defendant's children just rented the apartment for the woman to be dumping their children with her. They will impregnate ladies outside then come and dump them for their mother. It's quite unfortunate that her children cannot contribute 250k yearly to pay for their mothers rent. I want to believe that the woman had children for multiple men and they all are not in tandem.
One needs to be careful in having many children in this economy and also one needs to make sure you train your children very well either to school , learn skill or learn a trade. Her children are all irresponsible. If all of them come together, they can raise 250k yearly
