1. The question: "What is your genotype?" Should be a first date question to avoid all these emotional traumas.

I love that Ma Omoni shows a different side of men that we don't see or is hardly talked about. That side that men are shamed for; staying with a woman who has cheated.

True, I feel the therapist was wrong for trying to salvage this marriage bcoz I can see it breaking again…. Dara settled for Tega bcoz he was a good person but he wasn’t good for her… Tega settled for Dara bcoz she knows his insecurities and he can see she was desperate to have someone…..
Tega would do either of these two later on. Firstly, Tega will try to overcompensate which was not working to begin with bcoz if it was she wouldn’t have jumped on Chike after she tried to distract herself post their first kiss. Secondly, it’s either Tega hunts Dara with her mistake for the rest of their lives and for the fact that she is hyper independent she would want to leave bcoz of this reaction.
Tega would fit in well with an Asexual woman/ a virgin that do not have high expectations on Sexual needs. Dara needs to find a man that would thick the box of fulfilling her needs as needs are not things you can switch on and off. This movie touches on so many different topics that are occurring in marriages and relationships today. Trust, healthy communication, boundaries, knowing your needs and expressing them to your partner. But forgiveness is the biggest one and the one that most people struggle with. I love how it was not this magical act but realistic. His pain was validated and addressed and they were both willing to work together to get there. Well done!!!!!!!!

My Dear Omoni, I'll like to give a thumb-up to the scriptwriter. This is a a really good story that speaks directly to pertinent issues in the marriage institution. I can count over 10 crucial lessons in this single flick. The transition is superb especially the unwavered focus on the subject matter. Now to the casts; hmmm... absolutely awesome. Each person expertly embodied his/her charcater, thereby making the story more relatable. I will end with this... Tega's maturity in that marriage is impeccable. His reaction to all marital challenge in this story further underlines my belief that marriage is for men only; not for boys; and the 'man' in every man is more psychological than physical. Thanks once again to Omoni and her team for flashing the torch in the path of old and intending couples with such stories. Cheers!

I hope that movies like this one can give couples more freedom to feel safe enough to discuss such a sensitive issue together, or with professional help. As your movie showed, it takes deep vulnerability, forgiveness, and alot of space and grace for the hurt party to heal.

I don't understand why a married woman will be this close to an ex and keep meeting the ex regularly. Its bad that she is meeting the ex, she still discuss the ex calling her with her husband. Thats so disrespectful.
At all cost, if you have an intense past with someone that is hard to let go, distance yourself from that ex after marriage. More so that, she knows that the ex still has feelings for her.

Omoni, this is great and far beyond entertainment. For me, this is enough work as a thesis. The storyline is brilliant. The cast all brought the story to life. The story line reminds me of a Yoruba proverb saying, " ohun ti eniyan o ba ni je, ko ma fi run imu" meaning, sont smell what you will not eat. Why because the nose is close to the mouth moreso, for men that has mustache. Because the strands of hair can carry the particles to your mouth. And thats what Deola did. She destroyed a wonderful and a loving home. Great lesson for all cheaters be it male or female. Great job Omoni
