About this video: In this video Jeff Jeff reviews and tests the American DJ UV COB Cannon Blacklight for dances and parties and more! Fun stuff! The light features advanced COB technology (Chip on Board) the produces powerful ultraviolet light that’s great for glow parties, blacklight dances, performance stages, theatrical productions and special effects. The light has a 100W UV Light engine and has 3 operation modes: Sound Active, Manual and DMX. It can also be set to LED pulse or strobe effect. The light also features a dual yoke that allows the fixture to be hung or set on the ground. It features a 0-100% electronic dimming feature and has a 33 degree beam angle.

They are powerful but A lot of ambient light, not sure I want to invest the money in those for that reason and I havent checked pricing but AdJ is usually over priced with their lights anyway. Thank you for the vid
Thanks for showing them in a large room! So many lighting reviews only demo in a garage or living room, where it's difficult to get an idea of how they'll look in a venue. How many did you have in the gym, and how many do you think you would need in a 1500sf room
Glad it was helpful! We used 3 of them in a gym as well as some smaller LED blacklights to light up neon signs and photo backdrops to make neon paint illuminate. It was really awesome!

Hey Joseph, thanks for watching! We used 4 lights and it looked great. Afterwards our crew discussed it and we probably would've gone with 2 more to accent some more walls and really make certain areas pop with blacklight. They are great lights, but there's a lot of space to fill in a full size gym.
Hey, I’m trying to do a glow in the dark tennis party. Do you recommend these and if so how many? I’m thinking 4
I recommend these lights, how many you need depends on how large of a space you're trying to light up. We used these in a gym and they were great for lighting certain areas.
@@TinkerForward awesome! I bought 4, I think I may need 5. The Area is about 3600 square feet. I’m thinking one in each corner. Also, I’m looking for some sort of glow in the dark tapestry. Any recommendations?
These look alright. But I don't really think that LED is the best option for UV.
They produce too much visible violet light.
The best option is still fluorescent and mercury vapor lamps, with the woods glass envelope.
They're bigger, more costly, and fragile. But the end effect is much greater imho.

Fluorescent and mercury vapor are going to be obsolete and the heat that come from them are insane. There are UV LED lamps out there with woods glass filters. You'll get the true 365nm output. I have some videos on those.
@@UVBlackLights Yeah UV LED *with* woods glass would be a very good option.
Personally, I still have the old 400w UV cannon and a 40w blacklight blue tube. They're great for parties.
