If you want to fish for imported catfish, I might suggest the Alton Pool on the Mississippi River. There could be another Mekong Catfish. But if ya want real action, your 40lb test ain't gonna be enough for the Mingo Wildlife Area.
I wonder if there are any european cats around florida's ponds ? they are dangerous to dogs, they will get a dog getting too close to the edge. they grow huge

There are culverts this fish could swim thru and if you spook a fish like this there is no telling when you will see it again. Very hard catching a Single fish like that out of a pond that’s a couple hours drive away from you.
