  • @chamasikazwe6950

A confession first - I developed an unwarranted dislike for Vusi, because some people's misguided opinions about who he is started taking root in my mind and consequently I started seeing him as just "one of those" motivational speakers who only just talk for a living and don't own any tangible business. I could sit here and say I was a victim of misguided opinion but I won't, I'm guilty for having judged a man I knew little to nothing about. I watched this interview with intention and some parts got me emotional, emotional because I was filled with awe and emotional because I don't want to be that African with a crabs in a bucket mentality. Vusi is an intelligent and eloquent individual, his verbal prowess is undeniably one of the best I've come across, well read too. This interview was a master piece. Keep soaring Sir, "a prophet is not without honor except in his own town".

The reason why I admire Vusi is because of how authentic, versatile and relatable he is. With the level of success that he has achieved, you’d expect some form of dissociation from the day to day realities of most people, however, he’s very empathetic. Finally, his videos are philanthropic because the content he puts out there, his fans pay ridiculous amounts of it, and we get to access it for free. You can tell he believes in black people and Africa.

This conservation enlightened me more about Vusi and his life at home; it was surprising to learn about some things he has to deal with at home; however, it gave me a different view of him. Thank you, Penuel; Vusi got me here, so I will be following you closely, I love SA and I strongly believe in Africa's oneness, so you got my support from Liberia. By the way, I love the sound of the language you guys were speaking; it was very unique and made the podcast even more creative; however, I would have really loved to understand what you guys were saying since I am not a South African, so that I would suggest, you, please translate the vernacular part of the podcast in the caption to help your international audience understand.

This is one of the best interviews I have watched! As Africans we need to change our mindsets! We operate from a scarcity mindset and find comfort in numbers over silly things. We need to do better for ourselves and in turn for each other! Can’t wait to sit and dine at the same table with Vusi & Penuel 🙌🏽 so that I can educate my brothers and sisters at home in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 🚀

I owe Vusi Thembekwayo a sincere apology. I wasn't familiar with your game. What an incredible interview. I, too, was guilty of allowing the tides of social media to sway my opinion of him without doing my own research beforehand.. I am really glad that I watched this interview right until the end.

When you hear about the mob, you almost feel emotional; this could be the reason why bright young black men and women do not dare to be great. I appreciated the sparing of conversation; it is clear that these are seasoned members of our society willing to be a speakerphone. The part about a bouncing ball...HECTIC!! I appreciate your work Pen. And maybe like Rutendo, I hope VT becomes a gentle member of the penuel show.
    Excellent work, Pen!!

I’m taken aback by the sheer scale of insight that we as black people still need to gain in order to truly grasp how deep we’ve been infected by all sorts of designs that have made us separate but it is through these dialogues that we unearth and engage the truths about ourselves that make us not hold each other and lift one another out of the proverbial bucket, we will be together wether people like it or not, may you guys soar beyond measure

Watching this interview, I realize that I've always admired Vusi. The mob made me doubt him over the years. What pains me is that I did not even realize that. God Pen, thank you so much for this interview. I will watch it over and over. Also, it makes sense why he chose your platform to have this talk. Vusi is a smart guy. Heck! Both of you are. He chose to come to your platform because he knows his message will not be termed boring and get diluted. He knows elsewhere, he was going to be asked "did you smash so and so?" You are onto something, God Pen, and I am here to stay. Onward and upward.

    My confession:
There is no man I like more than I like Vusi Thembekwayo. I remember during my varsity days introducing him to my girlfriend and then when Sizwe Dlomo challenged him we both defended Vusi with passion.
I used to also watch Tom Bilyeu's podcast (impact theory) every day and would comment and ask Tom to bring only Vusi. When it happened I celebrated like crazy.
I've literally listened to that impact Theory episode more than 30 times. I still have it in my mp3 player.
Congrats Black Pen. I also defended you on Podcast and Chill loool
