I am a Kenyan, but I enjoy everytime Vusi speaks in his native language in-between a conversation, I don't understand a single word but as an African I find it sweet and interesting hehehe.
All Black South African speak like that on daily basis, they always mix up languages. Most of the time we use three to five languages just in one sentence.
No offence to other guys but only Pen would have been able to carry this without fumbling it. Shoutout to VT for understanding this and giving him this shot. Its a monumental day-what a time to be alive!
The reason why I admire Vusi is because of how authentic, versatile and relatable he is. With the level of success that he has achieved, you’d expect some form of dissociation from the day to day realities of most people, however, he’s very empathetic. Finally, his videos are philanthropic because the content he puts out there, his fans pay ridiculous amounts of it, and we get to access it for free. You can tell he believes in black people and Africa.

Yoh... Vusi is chilled but with the Sizwe topic he immediately spoke Zulu. This one is deep. Everyone knows immediately when you anger an African, they speak their language to explain just how angry they are
South Africans should be proud of Vusi. He is well respected at what he does in business, speaking and in the VC space (Globally). He is a gem and a national/continental treasure (and I can add as a fellow African (Kenyan to be specific) -- a great representation of us all as Africans) you should all be proud of him.

When Vusi spoke about his people not identifying with him anymore - I felt that. Sometimes abantu don’t relate with you because of how you carry yourself, what you want for yourself and how you progress. And it’s the worst.
I stumbled across this and it truly captivated my attention. It was not merely a conversation between two African individuals, but rather a thought-provoking dialogue between two South Africans discussing and elucidating the necessary actions we must undertake in our respective roles to foster growth.

A confession first - I developed an unwarranted dislike for Vusi, because some people's misguided opinions about who he is started taking root in my mind and consequently I started seeing him as just "one of those" motivational speakers who only just talk for a living and don't own any tangible business. I could sit here and say I was a victim of misguided opinion but I won't, I'm guilty for having judged a man I knew little to nothing about. I watched this interview with intention and some parts got me emotional, emotional because I was filled with awe and emotional because I don't want to be that African with a crabs in a bucket mentality. Vusi is an intelligent and eloquent individual, his verbal prowess is undeniably one of the best I've come across, well read too. This interview was a master piece. Keep soaring Sir, "a prophet is not without honor except in his own town".
This is one of the best interviews I have watched! As Africans we need to change our mindsets! We operate from a scarcity mindset and find comfort in numbers over silly things. We need to do better for ourselves and in turn for each other! My confession: There is no man I like more than I like Vusi Thembekwayo. I remember during my varsity days introducing him to my girlfriend and then when Sizwe Dlomo challenged him we both defended Vusi with passion. I used to also watch Tom Bilyeu's podcast (impact theory) every day and would comment and ask Tom to bring only Vusi. When it happened I celebrated like crazy. When Vusi spoke about his people not identifying with him anymore - I felt that. Sometimes abantu don’t relate with you because of how you carry yourself, what you want for yourself and how you progress. And it’s the worst.
I stumbled across this and it truly captivated my attention. It was not merely a conversation between two African individuals, but rather a thought-provoking dialogue between two South Africans discussing and elucidating the necessary actions we must undertake in our respective roles to foster growth.

A confession first - I developed an unwarranted dislike for Vusi, because some people's misguided opinions about who he is started taking root in my mind and consequently I started seeing him as just "one of those" motivational speakers who only just talk for a living and don't own any tangible business. I could sit here and say I was a victim of misguided opinion but I won't, I'm guilty for having judged a man I knew little to nothing about. I watched this interview with intention and some parts got me emotional, emotional because I was filled with awe and emotional because I don't want to be that African with a crabs in a bucket mentality. Vusi is an intelligent and eloquent individual, his verbal prowess is undeniably one of the best I've come across, well read too. This interview was a master piece. Keep soaring Sir, "a prophet is not without honor except in his own town".

There is no man I like more than I like Vusi Thembekwayo. I remember during my varsity days introducing him to my girlfriend and then when Sizwe Dlomo challenged him we both defended Vusi with passion.
I used to also watch Tom Bilyeu's podcast (impact theory) every day and would comment and ask Tom to bring only Vusi. When it happened I celebrated like crazy.
I've literally listened to that impact Theory episode more than 30 times. I still have it in my mp3 player.

I’m taken aback by the sheer scale of insight that we as black people still need to gain in order to truly grasp how deep we’ve been infected by all sorts of designs that have made us separate but it is through these dialogues that we unearth and engage the truths about ourselves that make us not hold each other and lift one another out of the proverbial bucket, we will be together wether people like it or not, may you guys soar beyond measure

We underestimate the impact that men such as these have on the free thinking and open minded individuals born in our country. There is a plethora of exceptional men and woman out there that have watched every second of this interview without pause or rest because they, just as I knew that in every second of this conversation, lies the possibility and probability of exceptional information.
