its amazing what a camera can do to a move
also, its cool that they receive a full x ray instead of just the area being hit
It funny.
That's probably due to the way the assets are built. Since each character starts with a skeletal structure/frame, it's probably actually simpler to just remove the entire thing than to create custom animations for just the impacted areas.
Maximilian was right when he pointed out that it's the clever camera work doing the most job and is what makes these finishers looks cool and fancy.
Without them,it would all simply look like any others normal special attacks and its quite fascinating watching them through this mod.

For those who think that the game is about collective farming
In fact, this is called optimization (here, for example, removing objects behind the scenes and reducing the resolution of textures also behind the scenes) this is done to reduce the load on the GPU and CPU
It's so fun to see the trickery they do to make these work.

I love this intro
This world must be pretty frightening seeing how physics are completely drunk and everything just randomly teleports.
I think Shujinko was supposed to impale the opponents abdomen, because you can see his right arm is raised and plunged into the opponent after he rips their throat out.

UE4 is actually makes it much easier for developers, in MK11 they also had to place manually a lot of light sources for every camera angle like in a good old days in games on UE3 15 years ago.
But UE4 and UE5 are trash 👎

Why is everyone mad about Megan Fox as Nitara! Be happy that we have her in the game I was praying that she would return and not that se has EVERYONE is mad there all like… “Netherealm! Please bring back Nitara! And some other characters” BE HAPPY FOR ONCE! Everyone always look and not play everytime.
We'd all be happy if her voice acting didn't suck ass.
Why do the characters move from place to place?
It's mostly for characters that fly in the air can't be having the view seeing what they shouldn't
