Thank you for this great review.. One thing I would like to address. So many times lately I hear people put down the Singer sewing machines. There will always be negative nancys out there. Please keep in mind that Even if the machine doesn't hold up forever at least they can experience the joy of creativity while developing a new or rusty skill and determining if sewing is the hobby or passion they want to pursue. That year or two can be spent determining if they want to upgrade to a different machine. In the meantime enjoy creating.
Wow. Great video. I leaned so m much about sewing machines, in general. The Singer M1000 mini sewing machine looks like the best thing for travel and kids who are learning to sew. At $85, it also would be possible to buy a number of the machines for use in workshops. The quality of your videos as teaching tools is great. Over and over again, I almost pass on watching your latest video. And, each time I learn more than I could possibly have imagined. Might be time to join your group.
I ordered this for my niece as a bday present, as a first machine. How cool that you reviewed it! Thank you 😊 it is supposed to be delivered in the next few minutes 😁
I had the same question about the 32 stitch settings. I bought this machine recently and figured out where the 32 figure comes from. If you move between the straight stitch setting, there are smaller adjustments on the wheel between the different needle positions that allow for adjustment to the stitch length. The constant speed is annoying, though.
My travel set up is an expandable tool box. The sewing machine fits in the bottom and there's a top and a drawer once you pull everything apart it's pretty cool. Found a toolbox at a yard sale. They are expensive so glad to find it for $30 at yard sale.
