I have a bunch of wood too and of course people don't message me till its a blizzard lol. I just had one now wanting me to come deliver. I have a pile of snow that is 7 foot tall blocking me from even getting to the wood. Lake effect since Wed. Had another lake effect storm a couple weeks ago then it was 40-60 and now this storm both bad storms had people wanting me to deliver. I can't even get my truck out lol. It would take me a couple hours just to get the truck out and a path to the wood if I could get my tractor running and my tractor doesn't have a battery in it right now so lol. Should have messaged me when we weren't getting 1-2 foot of snow a day. Pretty early in the winter to be out of wood panicking. I know you love suggestions on what you need...😅 You need like an old hay wagon or camper trailer frame with tall privacy fence or a wooden frame with tarps for a mobile wind block, that you can pull around the woodyard with your tractor. If you know that you will be cutting or splitting in one area for several hours. Park it down wind from that days project. I have used just my pick up at times and it helps slow the wind immensely!👍

The dimple in the cylinder ripped out the wiper on the housing and caused a huge oil leak. Good Morning. Many great reasons to dislike firewood.
If I can add two more.
    One is a nosey neighbor.
Two is we live seven miles west of Lake Michigan. The winter air is cold and damp in addition to the wind. The damp air goes right through every layer of clothing.
If the sun is out, the temps will be around zero. If it is cloudy, things will be very cold and damp.
I was cutting yesterday, and my chain oil viscosity flowed like sludge.
