Nah it's a model 98 commerical action and post war. I think the proper name is a 640 Husqvarna I could be wrong . HVA did make model 98 during the war and those action looks similar to a k98 . But the post-war stuff for civilian marker are typically called a 640 and were chamber in 30-06, 7.92x57, and 6.5x55. In a rare case you might see a 308win chambering but that was normally not done by HVA IIRC. FWIW :The model 96 bolt is like 1/2" or so shorter than model98, IIRC A model 640 from dimension is a model98 large ring IIRC. This Swede rifle has no SN# visible on the receiver nor any marking that says the model## or SN ####, it has a few engrave numbering at the front recoil lug ( bottom ) but i do not believe that's the SN#. I just pull that stock since I was curious and did not see any other details. I think when I did my BATF it was listed as a 98 but I wonder now if it's really a technically correct a model 640. I have own this baby now for 20 years. BTW: I have a model 96 carl gustaf, I might do a video later on that. It also has peep-sights.
Are you sure that's not an M96 Swedish Mauser???
