Lurkin made a whole video showing what the realistic version of chain lightning would be in the season and we still only hit up to 1.5 million at most. We just have a high dps, no high bursts of damage. This build here will never be in the regular game.
other ppl that I know tested it, with out perfect gear and aspects it hits 8-10mil, someone reached about 12-16mil and that is considered the highest sorc dmg. seeing this kind of numbers still does not get sorcs near rogue, barbs and nercos. FYI, already blizzard willing to nerf this build about 40%

Hey Rob I noticed a bug on PTR where Barb is only 10 times as strong as every other class instead of 50 times as strong like they should be. Do you think the devs are aware and looking into the issue?

Sorc is pretty garbage, this unique helmet is the only thing that makes it do damage. Remove the helmet and you struggle in pit 101.

How about we do an out of control barb video ? Just make sure to use bugged uniques so Blizz will think the class isn't nerfed to the ground enough yet

@@ViSongs482 Even if you play the weak classes like sorc or druid most of the game is tuned way too easy. The first thing that even shows resistance is the pit and tormented bosses.
They are clearly tuning things for the omega casuals when they nerfed tormented boss HP even tho they were a joke to B tier builds with barely any boss damage even.
The new mode is fine if it has a bit of difficulty at the highest tier just make it worth doing by more rewards.

Is his build link correct, in using shatter? its a combo with rainment and teleport enchant, but only ice blades does frost damage? do they do enough freeze for shatter? oh wait,. mystical ice armour does periodical freeze
@Rob2628 please give the feedback to Diablo4 Dev Team, that they should change the NMD and PIT xp gain after finishing a dungeon on max level to gain gold instead. It's a complete waste of time if we get xp on maximum level 100. The change should be easily implemented and be like the gold gain for quests in WoW after getting max lvl.

Chain Lightning build looks like a lot of fun(helps that my favorite element is lightning) but only if they make it feel strong and good to play without bugs like this.
Do you feel like the bosses hp is too high for pit 200 Rob? If they nerf this (which they will) how can anyone have any hope of clearing it through legitimate builds?

I am currently testing out a lightning strike build, lightning strike aspect scales damage by crit damage and every time it is created you get two and can hit 5 times. Completely annihilating bosses
Yeah it’s simply a bugged helm it’s not actually the chain lightning build. Rax does a great job of explaining this. The Build itself is still very weak.

PC only, and yes I believe you need to purchase it on there to access it.

If you developeing a game with exponential scaling instead linear (like it was in D2) it just unavoidable to get into quadrillions. You can delay it but that was just matter of time.

Its going to be hilarious when Sorc gets hard nerfed again, just like last PTR. And even better, when Barb ends up on top yet again, it wont shock anybody and will continue to prove both the bias and incompetence of the devs.

These numbers are caused by a game breaking bug. Without the bug, Sorcerers won’t get anywhere near this damage.
This is just a helmet bug, when they solve this bug, sorc, druid and rogue will not be strong. I hope they bring buffs to these classes. I have been playing barbarian for 4 seasons and I am bored, I think I will skip season 5.
Guys go back in look at rob dps numbers on the dummy. He is hitting over 700mil per hit. While most all non barb classes hit for around 10mil max avg per hit. I’m just talking about the base line dos per class . It’s a joke barb avg dps vs all other classes avg dps. Then rob likes to bring up the few outliers builds by others classes that might get close to barb dps. Just look at his face again on the dps dummies when he hits for 1 billion it don’t move . It’s like he knows barbs should be at that dps

It's like blizzard doesn't understand thier own algorithm and underlying math. They keep releasing these multiplicative effects without realizing they are scaling dmg by orders of magnitude.
blizzard balacing is buffing the shit out of everything. S5 and dmg are complete out of this world, next step is T5-16 implemented.

Sorc Incinerate is behaving very much like a bleed Barb. It's melting everything.
Tested, all the damage comes from the Helm, the build itself is super super weak and Sorc still needs buffs around Chain Lightning damage. The pants are fun though for sure and an excellent addition, just needs good balance around it.
Sorc’s best build is actually bleed or bash barb. Probably a lv95 barb hit just as good😂
Bash barb damage was cut in 5 (aka if you did 100 dmg now you do 20 dmg) on PTR. IF you want to cry how unfair stuff is at least try to stay somewhat objective.

I was desperately trying to do math on this to see the health scaling and it looks like the boss gets +~20%x health per level (using a lvl 100 pit boss up to lvl 200 pit boss) multiplicative to total health per level not base health.
I don’t have the exact health of the 100 pit boss, or the 200 boss. If someone has a very very close number, please let me know!

No. There's no PTR on consoles because "mUh CeRtIfIcAtIoN pRoCeSs." As if they decide to release a ptr a week ahead of time and don't have time to plan properly... Now they'll spend half of s5 cleaning up console bugs because they're too lazy to file and let consoles test this garbage, too...
You might ask why they bothered to make pit levels that aren't even remotely possible in the normal game.... Until you remember they took the time to make items people couldn't get.

So Blizzard basically don't know how to balance global multipliers because they have really bad dmg calculation formula from the start. Those are not even bugs, it's just bad coding straight.
