1970 what a special place, what a change it made in my life, I thank God for the discipline I learned there.
The memories of that place brings nostalgia, I’ll be taking my wife and one day kid/s to see where I trained...
j j 2021 good to show family, may not be the funnest trip but certainly a walk down some good and bad memories lol

I went to Fort Benning in 1986 for basic training and AIT in 1987. I haven't been back since. It would be interesting to see how much it's changed over the years. As long as I could do and go as I please. Basic and AIT you were restrictioned on what you were able to do. It would bring back memories. Thanks for posting.
Did you do OSUT or was there still Split Ops for the Guard?
@@Food24112 I did split opp back then. I was going to do OSUT, but I had trouble back home. I had to straighten out some marriage problems so I went spilt opp back then.
@@snake9911 That's cool they had split back then, but the reason why is sad
@@Food24112 If not for that happening, I would have stayed OSUT. Thankfully that was a long time ago. My AIT in 1987 went very fast. Thankfully, I was glad to get home. Memories.
It's changed alot since i was there in '87-'88.
I went back about 15 years ago to pick up my cousin from airborne.
I was an MP stationed with the 988th MP Company when it was at Ft Benning in 1980-1981. Fond memories of patrolling main post, Harmony church and Sand hill training areas. So long ago.
