    you are right, the leaves tell you everything. I grow in soil so I always look at the tip of the leaves that is where the plant starts to show the deficiency or nutrient burn. peace

    a very logical approach and one that I also pretty much follow... a few big ones down low are great early indicators and spare goodies

    All good info my friend, in living soil in fabric beds has made it so I do not jave to worry with it anymore, just amend the beds and mostly water only except for gypsum and teas here and there. Sitting at week 6 of flower now waiting for Runtz, Runtz Muffin and Runtz Layer Cake to ripen.
    Your run is looking good, nice and healthy. Looks like it will be a better run this round especially with you having those light dialed in now.
    I had trouble with lights recently myself, transferring veg plants with weak lighting to flowering beds with strong lighting. I couldn't keep from burning plants up until i started keeping them in veg a couple weeks before flowering to get them used to the stronger lights before flipping to flower.

      I haven't tried the Runtz yet... layercake and Muffin were very different for me, curious how Runtz will turn out

      @@thewell-roundednovice8852 I've ran the Runtz before, very potent, very unique smell and taste, one of my Runtz Muffin before displayed a pheno that was very much it's Runtz lineage and was just like the Runtz. Those 3 are my favorite Barney's cultivars, apparently anything with Runtz lineage are the best ones to me. I've found most other Barney's farms strains to be mediocre at best though the strawberry lemonade was decent but I'll just keep running the Runtz trio over and over in my 2 6x3 fabric beds and try new ones in my 4x4 bed from here on out.

      I must have gotten unlucky on the Muffin.. ran Layercake twice and came out identical and way better than the Muffin

      @@thewell-roundednovice8852 you did and I did too the first one I ran with the skinny sativa like leaves but now I know that is a very rare pheno that shows with the muffin. Out of the 3, the Runtz Muffin is my favorite. All my friends have been eagerly awaiting the Runtz Muffin and I place it in my top 3 I've ever grown with over a 100 genetics under my belt.
      Unless something happen I will probably keep it around forever, as soon as my breeding tent is done making Lemon Mac feminized seeds it will go to Runtz Muffin followed by Runtz and the Layer Cake so I don't have to buy anymore seeds.

      I'm the same way but their are a few breeders out their making waves, Aladdin from khalifa, Genetix matter has some wild phenos, and allegedly the cat across the pond that everyone hates but never goes toe to toe with, yeah..... he might have a rks. If not a rk, rks. Then skunks out the wazoo for sure looking at his catalog.

      Im the same way. Their are sum breeders out their making waves. Psgx, genetixs mater has badass phenos also, Aladdin from khalifa, and allegedly bsv has rks and many other original skunks from sweet skunk and burnt rubber, to molding plant matter and rotting flesh.

      @@thewell-roundednovice8852 I'm not sure if you remember me, but I've been a follower of your channel for a few years now, although it's been a while since my last comment.
      I noticed that your new system includes bulkheads at the bottom, a shift from the squared totes you used previously, right? Here in Ireland, squared buckets are hard to come by (with the exception of fishing bait boxes which are an unsuitable material for hydroponics), so I'm considering using 20 or 25-liter round buckets with bulkheads at the bottom as well.
      Regarding the setup of the air stones, I'm curious about your approach. I'm thinking of using 6-8 inch circular ceramic air stones, positioned slightly above the bulkhead openings. Do you think this setup would provide enough airflow to prevent the roots from entering the pipes connected to the bulkhead? Is this similar to your method, or is there another technique you use to manage this?
      Looking forward to your insights!
      P.S. I went and bought a load of Betta fish and a new Desktop so I ended up broke. I'm still "planning" my new grow all these years later, man xD lmao

      @thewell-roundednovice8852  3 месяца назад +1

      @WayneStakem can't stop roots, best you can do is divert them some away from the pipes.... look at my video 'Spider Farmer/ Barney's Farm, Run #4, EP01'... @9:45 minute mark I show how I do the inside of my bins.. hope that helps

    Hey thanks big dog for the video, i feel like im defoliating the big leaves on a weekly basis, they start to take over the whole plant in the rdwc, i know you do the major defoliation in flower on the 21st day, is there any time before that? Like right in the beginning of flower, or anytime in veg?

    • @thewell-roundednovice8852
      @thewell-roundednovice8852  3 месяца назад

      I just stripped the bottoms out hard... I'm flipping to flower in 2 days, or 1 after they recover.... but they're pretty much recovered now..... the preflower stripping is mainly the lower stuff under the scrog net, I don't really bother with fan leaves on top for this

    • @christopherreiten1977
      @christopherreiten1977 3 месяца назад +1

      Do you think taking the big leaves off weekly is a bad practice? I feel like I need to because they grow back so fast

    • @thewell-roundednovice8852
      @thewell-roundednovice8852  3 месяца назад

      @christopherreiten1977 I only do heavy defoliations twice.. right before the flip and day 21ish... you shouldn't really need to take them off other than that unless there's some really big ones you missed up top to pick off in mid to late flower

    My grandmother would take the leaf off at the back of the leaf and leave the stem on the stock she told me that is what slows the plant down because it has to heal the stock but this way the plant can use up the nutrients in the stem and then just fall off it works they just go crazy 💪👌🔥🤘

      @growermo940 3 месяца назад +1

      @@grow_archive OK if you take the stem off of the stock, the plant has to stop and heal the stock this way the stems stay on the stock and the leaf is removed from the stem, letting the plant continue growing and not slowing down to heal the stock. the stem will fall off overtime 🌱
