She was not ban from the U.S. Thing is , the record label Sony kind of drop her, or did not promoted due to pressure from The Celine Dion clan.
Her manager went to Sony to tell them there is no room for 2 singers alike. They had to choose in fear of loosing Celine Dion who was starting to be big for Sony.
But Lara became a big star in Europe and Canada.
That's disgusting.
Since that news came to life a few years later, Lara’s fans never dared to compared the 2. They never forgot, even this concert which was payed by Sony for PBS. Got put on shelves for 10 to 12 years.

@@paulschmehl2124 Sony had more than just Celine Dion. I read that they also had Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey signed, and having four artists in the same lane would be too much. Supposedly, Celine's management strongly opposed Lara being promoted in the US in competition with Celine, who had just come out with a record and/or a concert tour.
She has two native languages: french from her belgian father, italian from her sicilian mother. Her grandfather on mother's side was an american from Detroit.

Lara said that she doesn't need to think about when she speaks french and italian, her two native languages but i heard she can speak seven languages fluently. As a french i can say that there are not differences with her french and my french, no accent, it's perfect. nice comment sir !

Nice reaction. Dear veteran you have to listen to Lara Fabian's performance in 2016 with IGOR KRUTOY. The video includes one song in English and the other in Russian that Igor Krutoy taught him.
