    I'm from Sri Lanka. I learn most of the science lessons from Khan Academy. The explanations really really good. I'd rate it 10/10.

    Amazing explanation sir
    You know what when I ask my Physics teacher any questions he just says 'this is not in our syllabus' when actually I think he does not know the answers of my question.
    You teach really well thank you so much sir

    Is a magnetic field distorted in a gravitational field? If not then space is not curved by mass.

    what about earth magnetic lines soutn and north pole ..north pole is moving slowly and if it gets to those weaker magnetic lines will it starts move faster? lets say after 40 degrees or so? have u done experiments on that theory??

    I am confused...because we are not breaking the magnet while determining the direction of field inside it...please someone clarify
    And how he is telling that the iron pieces will behave as compass because the iron gets attracted to both the poles?

      You can imagine they terminate at infinity and loop back from infinity.

    • @llll-lk2mm
      @llll-lk2mm 4 года назад +1

      The more you increase the radius of the circle the more flat the border of the circle gets. The same way we imagine the field lines with a radius as infinity so the border will be flat.

    • @studentofpw8302

      I got the answer,
      The compass will not show any deflection, since Magnetic force of both, south poles will cancel each other.
      Hope you understood,
      One of my teachers has given me this answer

    When you break the magnet the broken piece will still have north and south pole only the position changes so when you broke the magnet the broken side is south due to which the north pole of the magnet points toward them , i dont think you gave proper explanation on why the magnetic field line goes from south to north inside the magnet
