That was amazing to listen to again after all these years. Brian Blessed did such a great voice for the giant. The way he said blood and grind we're spectacular. There was so much less dumbing down of content for kids back in these days 🙌🙌 Love the production values of story teller tapes. The narration, music, and sound effects were all top notch 😎❤️
Wow! I remember listening to this when I was a kid. Love the dramatic music when the giant is chasing Jack down the beanstalk. This is the best version of this story. Brian Blessed is perfect. Love his voice for the giant.
2:08 There was an old Aussie prison drama (1979-86) called Prisoner Cell Block H that would air in the UK in the late 80s to early 90s. Watching these the soundtracks used would trigger memories of stories heard from Story Teller issues I was bought when I was 7-8 years old, as they be exactly the same music. This one was used loads on that classic drama, fair dinkum! 😂 They've got the whole series on youtube where bizarrely this came on 2mins after the music used from the last story on this very issue i.e. No19! 😱🤣

The image of the giants scared me when i was a kid.
That crash when the giant broke his neck really grave a real feel to the story.
