That’s it! My next phone is going to be an android. I’ve been on iPhone for years, but getting emulators is a massive pain and I can’t customize anything.
iPhone and iPad and even mac can surprisingly emulate really well but yes the whole altstore is a turn off and android especially a high end android is the way to go to play these emulators at the best frames
The PSX is a PS2 based system released exclusively in Japan and it is notable for featuring the first version of the XMB. It's kind of sad that its place in history is forgotten because people still use one of the the original Playstation's preproduction codenames to refer to the system. It's bizarre to me because you don't see people referring to the Nintendo 64 as the Ultra 64 and that was used a lot in magazines too.
Wow... I _DO_ remember the name "ultra 64" but it was kind of in passing. That was just before it came out and when there was a buzz about whether or not to go from cartridges to discs.
OMG! It runs cool, it renders all of the fx accurately in openGL or Vulkan, amazing enhancements (PGXP stuff is legit awesome, true color rendering, vsync options, scaling that doesn't break textures/sprites in 3d games), has explanations for everything, is well polished, interface is easy to navigate, can use memory cards from epsxe with just renaming them appropriately, all the quality of life options one would need. I only wish it had more texture filtering options - something in between the taxing but awesome (imo) xbr and the other more blurry options. In any case, this is a dream come true to me because now I can run Breath of Fire IV on my mobile device in a way that was not possible before, and while still not perfect it's 99% there - basically this is me not being able to compromise the visual fidelity, so I still get some slowdown/audio desync(?) sometimes, and I'm only running x2, xbr (biggest hit on performance comes from this), default pgxp options for the geometry, and I'm running it on a SD 865 - still, really impressive to me! Thanks for the video!

Analog not working in bluetooth controllers. I have done all possible way to map still no analog. I also tried all settings still no analog. In epsxe just plug and play. In duckstation you need to manually map but analog is not working

This was so easy thank you. One question, I'm playing chrono cross with 5x graphics. The fps stays around 20, but the game runs perfectly, no lagging. Should I change the resolution? Do I need to try to get the fps closer to 50 or 60? Or does it not matter if the game is running good?
This might be late, but in case someone else will have the same question. For RPGs, you probably don't need too much FPS, since they are usually "slower" so 25/30 FPS (PAL / NTSC) will be more then enough to begin with. Second, do a short checkup on your Phones resolution, either via Google or by doing a Screenshot and check the information of that one and use a resolution scaling that would let you get around the same or slightly above (that should sometimes just be a x3 resolution on some phones), that actually is more then enough already too, down sampling for a more "crisp and clear" image just isn't really worth on a smartphone, because the screens are so small you won't really notice much difference.
It so odd to me that epsxe isn’t supposed to be that accurate yet I’ve seen comparisons in accuracy test that it scored barely less than mednafen beetle core so that seems almost the same in my opinion plus it’s always been smooth. Duckstation I keep running into issues with the game staying constantly smooth with dips every now and then no matter what renderer or enhancement/hack
Do u know how to get Lemriod to load a game that is in 2 discs or more. Example Progress to point in Parasite Eve where it asks you to insert disc 2. I can't get it to load disc 2. No button to push nothing. When I close disc one and try to load disc 2 it says no memory on memory card. Thank u for video. I might use this instead if I can't get Lemriod to work.
Tried Duckstation but ePSXe runs smoother and looks way better, especially 2D games. The Texture Filtering xBR looks really nice but the fps goes down, unplayable. And the default looks just not good compared to ePSXe. I wonder, everytime you mention the few bucks for an app is even an argument. This is absolutely irrelevant to spend such a few amount of money for a lifetime license. No one wants to work for nothing.
Is PPSSPP better than this one to emulate PS1 games, converted to PSP? I mean, PPSSPP is one of the best emulators ever made from all sides, and its pretty simple and user friendly too.]
PPSSPP can't run PS1 games even if they are converted to a format it would understand. The part of the PSP that runs those games isn't emulated in PPSSPP.
Did you know, my memory card file on Duckstation emulator is also compatible to AetherSX2, the emulator detects it a PS1 Memory Card (the PocketStation Memory Cards) and also i could play (almost) all of my PS1 games on Aether SX2 emulator Off Topic: I only tested Tekken 5 on AetherSX2 and it runs over 30fps, i deleted a few PS2 games i have due to storage and laggy gameplay (example is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Wangan Midnight R, Tekken 4, etc.)
Well, I've tried it out and so far it wasn't for me. My go to is still ePSXe and FPse. I have an Infinix Note 8 and it's a mid range device. Duckstation has always been a problem with me and the final straw was how the community was so elitist with PS1 emulators. For me Duckstation isn't a King, just the guy who was favored by everyone else. For, ePSXe and especially FPse is still the one's I'll go for. Don't forget one important thing though, have fun. Ciao.

I am so confused. I just wanted to play spyro I have the games i have the app i kinda have the bios... i think. It says its to large. Okay i got the bios in the controller works. But i allow access to the games i have downloaded and then nothing happens I try hitting start file and it says failed to load cd image Okay now i am out of my depth. I have the controller working. I removed the games from the zip phile. And it still doesnt work. I am getting a black screen with only the controller. The game is a .cue file I saw something thqt said something about saving memory card to..... idk I cant figure this one out. I figured the rest out by rewatching your video and making guesses. But now.... idk

I'd love to use duckstation but Ive never been able to get my games to import properly. I can run then by selecting "start file" but the only games that ever appear in my library are my English patched games. V weird

@@rianerick6510 audio needs low latency setting for that. It was normal or high and that was what caused the audio issues for me now it runs like duckstation more smoother tho. I prefer duck for accuracy but epsxe is more optimized
It's okay the dpad and analog sticks on touchscreen needs more work they are not accurate enough. Also in some games you get lots of glitches especially when you use PGXP. Still the best psone emulator currently

Not only is it enough to increase the resolution,xD, if increasing the pixels will be seen anyway, you have to use a bilinear filtering so that in hd it is seen without pixelation, it is useless to increase the resolution, if you do not optimize the image equally friend,,;)

Never point this out btw. If you see a video with zero dislikes, it's best you let it be to keep it at zero.
If you happen to read this, the gains of going above 2x resolution aren't very noticeable.

6:00 naerest generates pixels dont like .. bilineal yes .. jinc2 bad is more blurr xbr bad is for 2d , for 3d games is corrupted backrrounds

Considering that that you dont have to convert anything I would say duckstation is better.
PPSSPP can't run PS1 games even if they are converted to a format it would understand. The part of the PSP that runs those games isn't emulated in PPSSPP.

How do you access the menu when playing a game? I started a game on my tablet and have no clue how to go back to settings.

a problem with duckstation is the configuration of the gamepad controller, it doesn't work very well. disconnects from the emulator out of nowhere ;-;

At some point maybe! Beetle (mednafen) is still 👑 on PC
DuckStation's a much faster and up to date emulator. Libretro core is not supported by developer anymore though. Better to use official app.

Yep. On settings you can set it to landscape, and when you open the game, it'll always be on the side.
