Metis gave birth to Athena inside Zeus who, upon reaching adulthood, began trying to force her way out through his skull.

Unpopular opinion but I kinda think it would be cooler if Aphrodite and Hephaestus were the unhealthy couple arguing instead of ares and Aphrodite, because in the myths, they were hella toxic, in one version, neither of them wanted the marriage, in one version Hephaestus quite literally forced Aphrodite to marry him, so it would’ve been cooler like that
There’s actually no proof that Hephaestus asked for Aphrodite as a bride. The two of them are said to be married, but it’s never stated how exactly they became a couple
Athena is the daughter of not only Zeus but also the oceanid Metis who was Zeus's first wife and helped him free his siblings from Cronus's stomach, she was swallowed whole by Zeus after she got pregnant because it was learned that she would one day bear a son mightier than his father. Athena grew inside of Zeus which eventually gave him a headache so bad his head needed to be ripped open which was done by Hephaestus by Hermes' recommendation from which Athena came out fully grown similar to how Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, & Poseidon came of Cronus fully grown.

Ares is not rebellious to other Olympian Gods his more loyal toward other Gods yet he still get hated by other Gods even his own parents (Zeus and Hera). Heck, Ares being a God of War is against of prisoners of war, pillaging, rape, and other things that bad things happened during the battle. Ares is a honored God he respects the bravest and fighting spirit warrior whether be man or woman. Unlike his half sister Athena, is more loved and respected by other Gods yet Athena act more terrible things then Ares ever could. She cursed Medusa, get salty the time she got defeated during the weaving contest, also she literally join the rebellion against her own father Zeus yet she get away from it. Maybe in the next episode or season that we see Ares act as a better God and defensive because during the Titan arrive at the Olympic School I wish Ares joined the fight and stand alongside Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Athena, and Artemis. You know to showcase that his not a coward God.
I agree with the fact that Ares is alongside Hades in being around the most decent gods in Greek mythology. However, Ovid; where we get the Athena cursing Medusa and Arachne myths from, is a writer that tends not to like authority, so it might less be what was being told back in Ancient Greece and more what Ovid thought of the gods.
The Medusa one is made up by Ovid. Medusa was always a Gordon and even had sisters. As for the Arachne myth it's basically scattered in different tellings but I will focus on Arachne's tapestry. While yes her artistic ability to showcase the Gods exploitation of the human life (Mostly sexually and yes, mostly by Zeus.) She also created a double edge sword in the fact she placed a target on her back when it came to the other gods, while also subtly disrespecting Athena. A virgin goddess exposed to sexual obsceneties of people who technically have power over her at the end of the day. I mean, in the Iliad Artemis is presented as a badass goddess who takes no crop from anyone yet absolutely got destroyed by Hera. And Artemis proceeded to cry to Daddy Zeus about it.
A few interesting things about Kronus, his ultimate fate seems to change depending upon the teller- Some Greek traditions for example seem to imply that Zeus let him out eventually and now rules over Elysium/the Isle of the blessed (aka heaven), while as you pointed out, the Romans think that he was never imprisoned and instead fled to Italy and started a golden age there. Furthermore, some versions of Kronus imply him and the time god Chonos are separate and that he was more of an agricultural deity.
Another detail in that series I liked it, is that when Hera catches Zeus cheating, she ended up cursing Echo instead of Zeus. Because Hera always cpuldn't punish Zeus and she end up punishing victims who were graped by Zeus or someone nearby, when Hera finds out Zeus cheated on her. And later Zeus gives her a flower as an apology that he won't do that, and then later in a scene, she puts a flowet in a vase with other flowers, that they look same as the flower Hera is holding, hinting that Zeus was cheating on her many times. It shows that Zeus is not a good guy how Disney end up making it about Zeus. Zeus was black n white. Of course he rescued his brothers and sisters from a god who ate them, but Zeus always acted like a jerk around Olympus. Punishing a person, who brought a fire to village and he caused Hera to curse Medusa, that caused people to kill her, because they were afraid of turned into a stone.
4:11 wasn’t athena born from Zeus’s head because Zeus’s first wife was devoured/absorbed because a prophecy was that her first child would surpass Zeus.
Gods School is a very interesting series but I still wish they released more episodes like the other company who did Monster High, Ever After High and DC Girls Super High, because If they have then we could see more episodes of Gods'School on RUclips instead of having to wait a whole year for the next episode. I know this is different and it sounds impossible as this series is done by one creator but if this person could have more team to help then perhap we could see more episodes but this is my own opinion anyway.

Dear Cartoon Universe, could you perhaps do a review of the new fan series called the Big G by ALVIN? I would like you to first watch all the episodes so far and give me your two cents and relevance of it. It's a Hazbin fan series about a character oddly left out of the actual show. You might find his name in your local Bible and on US currency. If you know who I'm talking about then you should definitely watch it and it's funny as hell itself. Again that's the Big G by youtube channel ALVIN.
Thing is, Athena was born from a marriage. Zeus' marriage before Hera with Metis, the woman who helped him free his siblings from his father by giving him a potion that made him vomit them out. Only reason she isn't around is because Zeus subsumed her into himself when she was pregnant which led to Athena popping out his head.
I just hate seeing this show try to woobiefy Hephaestus and trying to make Aphrodite x Hephaestus look like a healthy ship when Aphrodite hated his guts, loudly rejected him at every turn, kept seeing her actual beloved because she's not going to be held back like that, and eventually got a divorce from him. She was not having that marriage, and to try and paint it as a happy relationship is a disservice to Aphrodite and her stories. To be fair, I dislike any series that tries to make Hephaestus look like the good guy. He blackmailed Zeus into getting Aphrodite, then threw a fit when she wouldn't let him touch her, and cursed Harmonia because she was one of Aphrodite's and Ares' children. Hephaestus is not the soft woobie good option in this love triangle and I'm tired of people painting him in this fake sympathetic light. Ares is not a kind god, but one thing he can be given credit for is that he never once tried to claim Aphrodite as his property. He never once tried to pressure her into marriage, and he's rarely ever gotten butthurt about her children with Dionysus, Hermes, or King Anchises. Sure, he killed Adonis out of jealousy, but Aphrodite cursed Eos out of jealousy, so Aphrodite and Ares are both screwed up in the same way. In the messed up family that is the Olympians, Ares is the right kind of crazy to balance out Aphrodite in a flattering way, whereas Hephaestus tried to claim and own her, and got what he deserved. You can't own Love, you can't pressure it into submission, and you can't demand Love on your terms. It has to give itself to you willingly. And he learned that lesson the hard way because she gave herself to literally anyone that wasn't him.
@@princesserika9899 It happens a lot in kid-friendly media that wants to make Aphrodite x Ares the bad couple so they can hold up Aphrodite x Hephaestus as the "good couple" in contrast. It often smacks of writers upset that Aphrodite has this nice guy and keeps ignoring him for hot jerk Ares without looking any deeper at WHY she likes Ares. It's usually the takes with a driveby understanding of Greek Mythology that do this. And it's frustrating when people simplify the situation to suit their own interests. Its like the woman who wrote about the "pre-misogyny version" of the Abduction of Persephone story TOTALLY had Persephone walk into the underworld of her own free will to sanitize the story for her daughter. Or the version of Aphrodite's birth I remember reading as a kid where the moment she was born every god started fighting over her, and so Zeus had all the gods offer her gifts and she CHOSE Hephaestus. It's usually not a sin of real greek mythology fans, but those who use the stories for their own agendas that perpetuate these negative perceptions.
@@fandomonium3789 Honestly, I like this show's portrayal of Hephaestus. I think different versions of Greek myths are valid and I don't mind if Ares is a good guy while Hephaestus is not and if Ares is a jerk while Hephaestus is not. I'm okay with it, I just want to enjoy Greek myths
THIS IS SO TRUE. I dislike this series heavily because you literally in my opinion can't use the greek gods and portray them in this insulting manner.. the way they've portrayed every single god is weird in my opinion. You cannot make Aphrodite and Hephaestus have a healthy relationship when it goes against everything greek mythology. you can't base a series off of greek mythology and then twist it to the point where it'd be better to use your own original characters instead. this entire show literally is so odd?? every single olympian aside from Aphrodite is related to each other in some way, tons of them weren't even born until Kronos was defeated and Zeus had all those affairs. Making them all go to a high school together feels so mocking. this isn't like Ever After High where you can just go insane and take stuff from fairytale characters and give them kids and throw them into high school, you just can't do that with greek mythology.
I am a little confused though. I know in Greek Mythology they’re all related somehow, but in gods school, are they related? Or did they change it slightly to avoid their characters having… yk. I’m also confused because it seems some of the gods and their children co-exist at the same time and age. I’m not very educated in Greek mythology though so this may be an incompetent question lol.

@CartoonUniverse please do my life would be complete
We have a few up if you like the lore stuff i think my video on their last season is the best, but I'd love to do one more.
@CartoonUniverse i will wait, since i Already watched those
Watched God school, good art, fun idea, but the animation is in the uncanny valley lol
I'll never forgive hera for what she did to echo. She's innocent.
2:30 Uranus 😆 no, I won't grow up
The patron deity of Sparta was Artemis not Ares
Gadget gadget gadget
Probably foces mostly on the goddesses because its suppost to be a spooff of monster high and and ever after high, aka a show about a fashion doll line to promote the dolls
it's not a spin-off of those shows. it's an indie project. its probably at least in part inspired by those shows.
@embermoto i don't mean like an actual spin off, I mean like a parodyof those things because it gave me the vibes of it, especially since it focuses on the girls more
@@avatale8612 O Gotcha yes I see that

Lore Olympus is another Greek Myth based story running on the premise that this is what happened but the humans told it wrong due to skewed perspective.

Ahhh yay omg I love seeing God’s School being covered on this channel! This series is only animated by one person, and it’s SO good so it definitely deserves more love and attention! 🫶✨
The dedication it makes to produce a show on your own is legendary, between Gods School and Earth Guy I am pretty happy.
