Holy Spirit of Jesus, we thank you Lord for Your anointed music produced in us by Your Spirit, we can't help but to sing Your praises about You , your goodness, love and other things that no words can mention. There are not enough words in any known language to describe Your greatness! These people could not of produced this worship music without Your anointing. Dear sir, I am very drawn to your worshipful flows. However, if I may point out, sometimes you do the supposed tongues thing, and it just sounds like baby babble and out of place in your otherwise beautiful worship. I understand why you do it, because I came up in the Lord that way as well, but recently I reasoned with myself and asked, “is this really speaking in tongues, and who does it benefit?” My conclusion, as much as I did not want to admit it, is that it was not. Not that tongues do not exist, but what I was doing, and what you seem to do, is nothing more than repeated babel of no significance. Sorry. Please forgive me.
Singing in the Spirit is something I absolutely enjoy and is as much a part of my personal worship as breathing is to my existence. As hard as it may be to believe, when I have decreased singing in tongues, the “worshipful flows” cease. If speaking and singing in tongues are something you don’t care for, that’s totally fine and I wouldn’t ever fault you for it. We can agree on the magnificent work of the cross of Jesus and the work of the blood of the Lamb.
My mandate from the Lord was to record my personal times of worship and to include singing in tongues. So, while it may seem like “repeated babel of no significance” to you, it is helping me stay in the flow and helping me hear the Lord’s voice and “spiritual songs” as in Col 3:16. So my choice is between honoring a minuscule opinion that is in direct contradiction to the Lord’s explicit request to me or to simply obey him. I choose the latter. We can agree to disagree and I do forgive the condescension.

Amen then. My comments were with all due respect. You are obviously a man of God and I am not disputing that. It’s just that my experience has been decades of learned behavior of supposedly speaking in tongues, but if I really wanted to examine what I was doing, it was nothing but learned behavior. Speaking for myself, I am not speaking any language, I’m not speaking any heavenly tongue, I’m just doing something that makes me feel more spiritual, when in fact it’s not, not in the biblical sense. I am only copying and repeating something I learned back in the 1990s in the Pentecostal church that I found Jesus in. Repeating something over and over again, such as yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah or robobobobo kadadadadada is not speaking in tongues. And so, for me personally, I have stopped claiming that it is speaking in tongues or singing in the spirit.
I just really felt I needed to say that, and I’m not trying to be used of the enemy or anything sinister like that. God bless your day sir....
@@kevsom90 Thanks for the follow-up. I appreciate that. We are all a culmination of our experiences and we have to honor the convictions we believe the Lord’s instilled in us. For me, tongues and singing in tongues has been life-changing and necessary. Saying that, it’s not the cornerstone of my life: Jesus is. It’s all about Jesus and I love lifting His name up. As a matter of fact, I was at an oil change place about a month ago, and I had that on where’s my AirPods and I was just singing away. I believe it was the part, “we enter by the blood of the Lamb.... The Lamb that was slain...Who takes away the keys....of death hell and the grave...” A guy who was waiting in the car next to me took notice of this. A conversation ensued, because he was in a very tough spot, and he saw the light of God as I sang. He has become good friends with my wife and I, and has been attending our church ever since...🎚🙂☝🏼
