Dodge distance is better if you are dealing with massed elites a lot. But the stam recovery is very good aswell. I think ult reduc is better if your whole team benefits from it.
@@core7822 Strange stetment as aprt from Shade who doesn't benefit from 25% extra crit chance. Even SoTT doesn't have ult charges all the time (whch is only 3 crit hits) so in "downtime" the extra 25% crit is great. I think only Shade doesn't benefit with SoM as she can pretty much perma crit uptime on Cata hordes.
specifically on billhook taking cast away as a talent might be a good idea because the stamina regen allows you to do your horde clear combo for longer. if you don't have a handmaiden on your team i see it as almost necessary to run it on billhook

A year late but no you shouldn’t. Bill hook is more defensive. What I would recommend for Rapier and also 90% of melee weapons is. Block Cost Reduction, Crit Chance and Swift Slayin
Why your crossbow has Infantry and Skaven and Charm has Chaos? That doesn't seem to calculate to any breakpoints on cata. If my math is correct the setup should be Breakpoints: 20% skaven, 10% monster. With WHC tag you should then 1 shot bodyshot: Assassin, Hookrat, Ratling, Fire and 1-headshot storm, leech and Gas. Your "Power vs" setup doesn't seem to achieve any important breakpoints when I put them into excel sheet. Do I miss something?
This build is being used on cata3, where enemies have significantly more health so breakpoints are different, mostly you will be attempting to reach 1 shot headshot but it's not possible on all specials

Billhook is a bit harder to get the hang of but it has higher armour damage. Especially against Chaos Warriors and the extra cleave means you get more out of flense. The range also allows for very high damage uptime in teamplay if you know how to use it.
Rapier has no downsides. Its strong vs everyone and safest to use. Upsides: + easy vs horde, just push attack and 2-3 light attacks, flense will kill everyone + easy vs berserk/plague, just use revolver special attack, it doesn't break block + push only costs half stamina shield + blocking inside block arc has 50% block cost reduction, which is great + highest dodge distance, easy to escape or dodge specials/monsters + heavy attacks deal huge armor damage Billhook has one advantage over rapier, but it is a huge one. Upsides: ++ special attack stuns all enemies except monsters. Stuns berserker/monk out of combo, SV/CW out of overhead, Bestigor out of charge, even hookrat gets stunned... also puts them in stagger 2, making them take 40-60% more damage. + special attack while moving also makes you move a bit faster + strong vs horde, push attack +2 light attacks has high cleave and damage + very strong vs armor Downsides: - poor dodge, not as easy to dodge anyone - push attack is a bit slow, so you might get hit while doing it if you're not careful
Use push attack (hold both m1 and m2 after push) into light attack until your low on stamina than alternate with 3 light attacks. Push attack, 3 light, push attack etc.
bop will be better for what most people play, crossbow is just still able to hit good breakpoints on the difficulty core is playing in this video, and he doesn't have to take out every special alone like you would have to in pubs
@@prospect2664 yeah that's true, and meta is usually less fun. Billhook is meh compared to Rapier/Pistol, and brace of pistols is still the best ranged weapon imo. Then again, I don't do solo cata runs, but that's also not my goal in this game. I rather enjoy cata + twitch mode.
This one obviously :) When i do builds i usually just go for what is best in practice and dont try to base the build around the gimmick. And the 1 shot build looks very gimmicky to me.
The crossbow is much better than the pistols, far better breakpoints, much more ammo and the ammo sustain with Conservative shooter is a lit better. The crossbow is simply a better weapon.

In heat of combat it takes me shorter time to swap to pistols and spam them at special while having infinite dodges (100 doge limit on pistols) without getting hit vs crossbow which on Cata I have to aim to head to one-shot special, risking and leading to many times being hit by some trash mobs around. I consider both of them very good but unless I am main long range sniper (which you should never be as WHC) I feel safer with BoP in the heat of combat than with corssbow. But again as I said - it's preference. I don't believe in 1 shot range weapons that NEED headshots to kill specials on Cata if I can kill them with bodyshot.
@@honestbenny sure, if you can't land headshots, and if you struggle to reload in high intensity moments then yeah you'll do better with the pistols. But the crossbow does simply have a higher skill ceiling. There is a reason people only ever use the crossbow on DWONSC3.

bop will be better for what most people play, crossbow is just still able to hit good breakpoints on the difficulty core is playing in this video, and he doesn't have to take out every special alone like you would have to in pubs
