Love the reivew! My experiences with Philippine Airlines have all been wonderful, and I can't wait to review them myself for my channel. Especially the lounge and food!
Hello, Travels by Dreamer. We appreciate you sharing your detailed feedback on your Comfort Class experience with us! We're glad to hear the check-in process went smoothly and the lounge met your expectations. After all, your comfort and convenience are what matters most to us. It's great to hear that you appreciated the extra legroom and amenities provided in Comfort Class, as well as the meal service on your flight. We aim to exceed our passengers' expectations whenever possible, and we're delighted that you found the service to be a nice touch. We understand your point about the upgrade cost for Comfort Class, especially on shorter flights. Your feedback is valuable as we work to improve our offerings and ensure they provide the best value for all passengers. Thank you for choosing Philippine Airlines! We look forward to welcoming you back on board soon and creating more fantastic experiences for you. 😊✈
Absolute pleasure being back onboard with you, great to see an airline comment in such detail so huge credit to you there. I do think the comfort class upgrade costs would translate better on a longer route. Hoping to take a look at your long haul offering in the future and of course, being back in the beautiful Philippines 🇵🇭
Looked reasonable for the extra fare , but how nice was it to receive a friendly and personal response from the airline , doubt you would get that from any other company.
I suggest next time, buy the comfort class upon booking. don't use the upgrade option (the minimum bid I think is around USD 55). The difference for the Economy Class vs Comfort Class upon booking is around USD 30 - USD 40. It can even reach < USD 30 difference. This makes it worth the price. I often get the Comfort Class from Manila to some provinces in the Philippines. But not ideal if from Province (except from Cebu) to Manila - since they don't have the Mabuhay Lounge.
Fair assessment. The bidding isn't really worth it for such a short flight. My big gripe with PAL for the longest time is the limited meal options and nothing for pre-order for travelers with special dietary needs. I would always end up starving by the time we landed. And they tend to change the plane last minute so if you selected a certain seat and paid extra for it there's a good chance you won't getting what you selected. I hope you enjoyed Boracay. It's a bit crowded for my taste.
Thanks! Yeah, would like to get into a longer flight with them so I can take a good look at the food options, was really impressed they’d supplied anything at all on a flight of this length - for sure wouldn’t get that in Europe! Boracay pretty busy but some lovely quieter spots around too ☀️
Comfort Class offers some nice touches but on such a short flight I'm not sure I would bid for an upgrade. The lounge was surprisingly decent and the onboard refreshments were a bonus. Was there any service offered to economy class passengers on this flight as a comparison? Finally, congratulations on the second birthday of your channel. I always really enjoy your trip reports!
@@armychap007 yeah, I think on a longer flight it would’ve been decent value! I don’t think there was a service further back, not included within the ticket at least. Perhaps our friends at Philippines airlines can confirm… Thank you so much! Always enjoy your comments. Here’s to the next 2 years!
Generally with airlines, as long as the backpack is small enough to go under the seat, you get away with it but I would double check with the airline before travel :)
Depends on so many things I’d say. Length of flight, cost of the upgrade and whether those benefits are worth it for you for the price. It’s the age old question on so many frequent flyer forums. Safe travels!

been waiting for another flight review, glad to see you're back!
Good to be back! Lots more to come soon…
Thank you for coming to Philippines. You are always welcome here!
Thank you! ☺️
Useful information. I`ve yet to fly with PAL, but look forward to doing so one day. Thanks for posting!
Glad to hear! You’re very welcome - see you in the next one!

Can I bring carry on bag and a backpack?

Should I upgrade?

Was the food free?
As part of comfort I had it included yep :)
