Nice. Love the truck.
Huge progress for such a short video. Great work, motor looks REALLY clean.
That’s a lot of work.
Finally coming together 😎
Engine looks great
Tony should’ve painted or cleaned up the trans case
It's looking great Doc. I'm looking forward to hearing that beast LOL come to life...
I couldn't help but notice the front shock mounts. GEEZUZ...Things must have been
really bad at Mopar in 67. It looks like they used a couple pieces of scrap metal that
were in the dumpster. Oh well. They've been on there for 57 years, I'm sure they will
probably last another 57 years.
Hey Doc, sometimes your videos don't have to only last 8 min. It's OK to show some opps, and this goes into and this happened so we did this, etc. To me, It makes it a little more interesting even though I have been a mechanic and machinist. It's still fun to see others do what they do. Have a great Memorial day and thanks for posting in the first place.
Love that truck can't wait to hear it run
Big Richard is sure looking good with that nice pretty engine sitting it there Dr. Art. Can't wait to hear it when you fire it up for the first time.. You are doing a great job Dr. Art, I'm sure Kiwi is happy to have you getting Big Richard road worthy again.
UT should of painted the transmission..
Great surprised you didn't hit that dash with some plastic spray paint
You can’t buy the patina that this truck dash has earned
You’re making it happen. Good job.
I've had 3 Dodge swept line trucks throught the years a 68 3/4 ton D200 slant 6 with the factory adapter plate so the 727 trans would bolt to it that had the goofy dash mounted shifter and a 68 military Air force 4dr crew cab with the 318 4spd with the divorced gear drive t case dana 60 front & rear 4:10 lockers & i still have my 71 D100 utility line with a mild build 530 hp 440 w 727 manual valve body and the 8 &3/4 sure grip with 3:55 gears . The truck is lowered with shaved door handles no bumpers with front roll pan and the rear roll pan i grafted in 68 Dodge Super Bee tailights in it . If you like these trucks look for Victory Colorado red on RUclips here & look for 69 Dodge 100 drag truck thats a white full tube chassis and running a 588 big block wedge running at the strip that's from Wisconsin running ar Byron dragways thats pulling the front wheels a big tire rear drag truck .
Is the crew can 4 speed the no 445. The one with the lighter first and reverse gear?
@@jasonkaiser5150I think it was a 465 because it had the 12 inch clutch flywheel and it was a hydraulic clutch instead of linkage. It was definitely a military truck because it had bronze bushings for the front and rear leaf springs that had grease zirks on them to grease them unlike the civilian model power wagons that had rubber bushings and the whole drive train had drains on it to drain out any water that might get in from fording water . The drive shafts & U joints were way way bigger than the civilian 3/4 & 1 ton power wagons had . The U joints looked like they would be on something that was a 3 ton or larger truck . When I had it I looked & there were less than 2,000 of them built back in the day and most when retired after the Vietnam war were sold over seas that the Arabs used for their military trucks and some got sold to fire dept and DNR to be used . I paid 1,000 for it & it had a clean straight body and did upgrades to the 318 like 340 cam 4 barrel carb intake dual exhaust and a Mopar performance electronic ignition which really woke the engine up . Wish I still had it because they get huge money for them now but can't keep them all because I was building other project cars and motorcycles and had to sell it to fund them . I drove that truck just about every day including on bad winter days to get to work because I knew it would get me to work & it was funny because at the time I remember the new Ford F 150 trucks that were fuel injected were stalling on the side of the road dead while I drove past them with no problems. If I remember Ford had a recall on the fuel injection systems on those & they were having issues with them in cold weather I remember seeing on the local TV stations so that's why I was seeing different Ford trucks stalled on the roads when going to work .
@@peteloomis8456 just wandering my 70 power wagon dose not have a 6.5:1 first and a 8:1 reverse and the shifter is really sloppy. The only other transmission like that was is another 1970. All other four speed trucks I have owned the shifter is very tight. I have had 3 np 540s 5 speeds and they are all tight. Even the 1960 had a low first gear a tight shifter. The all were top loader shifters
I'd love to see the Super Bee tail lights conversion you mentioned. Could you send me a pic to chris@kiwicandc.com ? Cheers
Make sure Tony didn’t neutral drop it!
Good work Dr. Art! Always love to see someone thrash to make a deadline! Sleep well tonite!😴
Looks great Doc. 👍
Holy smokes! That fast you got it in?! Wow!
Making solid progress. If that was rain making all that racket, send it down here. Less than a week out of officially winter, and our local farmers are trying to get seeding done in dry dust 😩
Weatherwatch TV has it raining here by the end of this week, hoping the country gets a good drink all round where it's needed...
Thanks for the update....would have been nice to use the smaller stock converter
😁🇬🇸🤘
Otay Buckwheat !😊
Nice to see grandiose Ricardo coming together,ok sorry big Richard but it will mighty grand when the 318 fires.
Dr. Art I’ve enjoyed you channel got a 68 d-100 looking for wipers, wiper transmission arms, especially wiper pivot points can you help?
Let me see if there are any extra wiper parts
I thought that was Bluetooth glass!😅
Why are you not showing you doing the labor? You are only showing us when each step is done.
Would love to watch you in action doing the job.😊
It's the doctors secrets..
I was thinking the same thing.Would have loved to see the window install.
Really like those exhaust manifolds. Are they late model Magnums or original to the truck?
Magnums
Disregard if not appropriate to ask but , could you do anything with a 2006 Ram 1500 main computer whatever the terminology is PCM or ECM or ?
Yes
Just need a different bench harness for an 06
Good question
@@DrArtshotrodrehab thank you . I’ve had some ongoing issues and ultimately some of them damaged the unit .
Great job Doc Art 👏
👌🏼🧰
Love that trucks name!!
So, now the.....Mounts On Position Are Right? 😄
Yes now
