This has become a go to video for me and I am grateful it is still available. Do you have a video that runs through the ports and pins set up procedure? Robert
Franco Could you please post the two pieces of code you used. When you want to combine for example a facing and a turning procedure is it a simple case of posting the facing code then adding the turning code directly below. Or is it required to post the two small codes between the facing and turning code. Your videos are very informative and easy to follow keep up the good work.
Thanks for the vid! I've been doing this same thing to create code for my little lathe and my mill. Works great. I didn't find the code snipets in the description box, so I did a screen capture for now. Thanks! Mike
Hi No experience with programming at all. Do have a bit of CNC for cutting clock wheels designed by somebody else which I built. I am in the process of trying to absorb Mach3 and this demonstration was excellent. I am about to add CNC to my lathe so you care to share your other skills, I will be grateful. I think it is relevant to point out that I am pretty old and people of my age are usually preoccupied with finding their slippers, not working out how to write computer code. regards Robert
Hello I own a mini metal lathe machine. The Holsman ED 400 DIG. Are you able to provide the hardware modification for the x axis? Best regards Dennis Anghelatos
funny , my wizards all work well.. Then when i load a f360 turn file the program seems to think the radius is the diamter or the diameter is the radius.. In other words, it will try to do a pass 15 mm behind the part in thin air.. Ive tried both modes , to no avail with fusion files.
I am a little confused about the need for a Wizard licence. I have a demo version and have not been able to get my steppers to run. I have checked the config boxes and they look ok. Any suggestions. Robert
Hi Robert. Mach3 can be frustrating, but is should work. There are MANY reasons why your system may not be working. Check this out: www.dropbox.com/sh/3g2ya6281uu14ha/AABSqIiUFSE1PARiLY4h1CxKa?dl=0 There is a section in there about Mach3 settings. Maybe something in there will help you get over the hump. Also, if you get really frustrated, consider converting over to the Centroid Acorn system. IMO, it is much better and easier to configure than Mach3. Thanks!

Great video, wizard doesn't have ID groove option? Is Mach3 capable of CSS?

Hi Franco love your videos, how do you go about calibrating your CNC Lathe? I know how to calibrate a CNC Mill but not on a CNC Lathe. Thanks
I had the same problem and used the mach3 mill wizard and then copied the numbers into turn.
Franco, for cut-off a part, do you use the Groove Wizard? How do you do? Os there a cut-off wizard?

where did you get the cover for the main ball screw...genius...mach3 is an amazing program
Great job!. What type of motor have you used to turn the chuck?
On the mini-lathes I used the stock DC motor and driver.
merhaba murat bey mach3 ile ilgili bilginiz varmı?
Hi Franco,
Yes, thus was helpful - nicely explained !

How do you get Mach 3 to work with a modern PC? I heard you can't and you have to go to Mach 4.
they make a usb easy stepper
I will never leave Mach 3/4 for acorn
shand seimela Hi. I'm glad you're happy with Mach. But, the Acorn system is really good. I'm happy I switched.
steppers are way toooooooooo slow....
