BF: Marble Garden has become absolutely flooded due to a constant rainstorm pummeling it nonstop, worse yet is that Eggman decided here would be a good time to plant a full-time MINING FACILITY here, and has caused the Marble Garden to start sinking into itself underneath it's own weight alongside lava from Lava Reef and water from Hydrocity adding to the disaster. Parts of it tend to collapse, but Ivo won't care so long as he get's another beautifully sculptured marble statue of himself to put on display.
BF: The once beautiful and vibrantly green hanging gardens are now a sickening brown color. Bits of them constantly falling off. The nasty, black marble is giving way under Sonic's feet. Well the marble Robotnik hasn't mined away for his nefarious efforts anyways. Beware of it collapsing on, or under you as if you thought it was unsteady before; It's even worse now. The whole place is quite literally falling apart now. Run Sonic don't admire what's left of the art, just run!
@Larry Laffer How to escape Marble Garden BF: 1. Just go back to Hydrocity (Go to the present if the GF doesn't exist) This is to avoid Marble's Garden's low stability 2. Use Tails to fly you to Carnival Night 3. You're done 👍
A thunderstorm now pummels the old ruins, or rather, what's left of them. Robotnik was quick to mine anything beneficial to him and his cause alone. Due to just small pockets underground being bored through, the mud mixes with the loose soil to form some speedy sinkholes. And who knows where these decrepit mines lead to. Try your best not to get lost. In all seriousness, this mix is now my official favorite of the album! Those guitars give me F-Zero X vibes! Great work, KM!
Marble Garden Bad Future: Due to the Doctor's constant drillings of the land, a lot of water from Hydrocity ended up spurting out and flooding the area, including most of the ancient ruins. Half of the zone is now completely engulfed in water. All of the remaining ruins have since been converted into high-tech facilities to construct new badniks. Sonic's gonna need a lot of help from those spinning tops if he doesn't wanna get soaked.

Not gonna lie, the opening guitar really reminds me of Razor’s Edge from KOF 2002UM. Then again, the whole thing sounds like it’d fit in a fighting game. It’s awesome and the guitar work is phenomenal here.
Are you talking about Krizalid's theme? (I thought it was called Cutting Edge.) Because that was a big inspiration for this remix. I saw a video where someone used that song for Metallic Madness Bad Future
Marble Garden Bad Future: Collapsing Construct Zone the bluish-purple sky is foggy, heavy thunderstorms have ravaged the zone, with the egg-robo threat never being resolved the ancient garden is slowly being drilled apart by more and more tunnel bots, with the player needing to fight 2 at once in the miniboss. as act 2 starts the rain finally stops, revealing half the level has been submerged in muddy water. and maybe worst of all, you have to fight the boss on a spinning top.
Bad Future: Thunder lashes the soaked grass, and the pillars are now destroyed (more then before) and many mines are there. there are mechanical drills everywhere, and in the background is a massive mining crater.
Dude you're killing it lately. Flying Battery P, Oil Ocean B, and now this. Most excellent. High hopes that Mystic Cave(1 player) is in your pending list for the CD treatment. Seriously love this one though. Looking forward to the other iterations for Marble Garden. Keep it up, man.
Marble Garden act 1 “Ruins in Rubble” One of the doctor’s old mining facilities, now abandoned. What remains of the beautiful scenery is collapsing rubble, a constant obstacle throughout the act. A few Badniks are left patrolling the area, but that’s all. The sub-boss is the old one from Sonic 3, now old and damaged, being much more chaotic and constantly dropping the already unstable ruins on Sonic, despite only taking four hits this time.
I didn't even think once about what Marble Garden Bad Future could be. This zone was so peaceful for me that nothing could make me think about that. Great remix! Keep it up!
Amazing remix. I can really see how the stage would look like too just by listening. Any music that helps you imagine what the artist is going for means it's really good!
I've often thought about what the sonic 1-3 zones would look like with past, present, good/bad future. For Marble Garden Zone, it's basically pillaged and exploited for the marble. The garden is left dead and abandoned. Much like the normal aesthetic of Marble Garden Zone, it's slightly understated compared to other areas which would mean a 'US' type bad future would likely fit that version better. Admittedly this song goes for more of a 'corrupted' garden actively trying to kill you or something rather then an exploited/abandoned one. It's still great!
Marble Garden: Robotnik has turned the once-peaceful ruins of Marble Gardens into a lava-fueled power generator. The entire area is now covered in lava, with the only marble left being buring chunks of it that have yet to burn in the lava flood. This time, Sonic's going to _surf_ his way through the zone, with the risk of chunks of marble and spikes left over from the ruins hitting him!
BF: Marble Garden has been completely destroyed where a dangerous thunderstorm is occurring, causing Mud waterfalls to become harmful and dangerous to ride on. Giant piles of scrap where the enemies from the first three stages can be seen, torn up and beaten up galore and instead of rotating spike ball traps, lightning strikes from the ground due to how dangerous the weather is. The spike ball traps are destroyed in the background, meaning they were in for a BIG shock! The lightning will wait til its ready to strike again for 5 seconds, giving you enough time to bypass the area. In order to pay attention to when lightning will strike in areas where the spike ball traps used to be in, pay attention to the background and if it flashes, lightning will strike in the area and also count to 5 in your head if that helps too. This ain't Robotnik's fault this time, things just got kinda ugly around here. But it partially his fault because of the places that he built polluting and harmful factories in that caused this mess. He may be off the hook, but he won't be when Sonic gets a hold of him!
*Bad Future:* Most of the grass has been burned away or dissolved from all kinds of toxic sludge, which acts as a common obstacle - slowing the player down. The ruins are even more destroyed than they were before. Some areas are on fire, creating so much smoke that seeing through it is not easy for the player. The sky is crimson red and orange, reflecting the zone's toxic and fiery state. The color scheme of the grass went from green to dark purple. The stones that make up the solid ground are more dim, neutral colors.
(Marble Garden Present) Marble Garden Zone (Marble Garden Past) Marble Jungle Zone (Marble Garden Bad Future) Crumbling Marble Zone (Marble Garden Good Future) Sculpture Garden Zone
I can only imagine Marble Garden turning into a swamp because Hydrocity collapsed and Marble Garden is little by little drowning in all that water... A sad ending to both zones
Well, look on the bright side. Bubbles is too broken now to be a threat. But I see this Bad Future having a lot more Spike Balls. I think it might look more like the layout of Marble Garden from Sonic 3 & Knuckles Master Edition with the increase in hazards (but a much more dystopian background).
Most of the marble has been mined away, with factories and mining facilities making up most of the level. The background is similar to Quartz Quadrant bad future. The lower part of the zone has dead grass and trees, with mud pits filled with waste from mining. Any remnants of the old architecture are brown and decayed.
BF: the ancient home of the Echidnas has now been turned into a Concrete Maze of Doom by Eggman, and anyone unfortunate enough to stumble into it is met with tunnels and labyrinths of confusion, with even more puzzling ways to get out..
BF:The once serene marble garden has become egg mine 1-F8. The capital of eggmans marble business, however a flood starts near the end of the stage causing a flood of waste, better get outta there
BF: Eggman burned this down knuckles wasnt so happy he began to go anger but eggman lied but telled the story SONIC BURNED IT DOWN He said! Knuckles trusted him. And punched sonic in the great face
Marble Garden BF- Marble Mudpit: After having conquered the world, Eggman had the egotistical idea to build a monolithic marbled statue to serve as a constant reminder of his eternal rule over Earth. He needed materials however, and he slowly turned his sights towards Marble Garden... Fast forward 2 decades and you can see the place has been completely and utterly destroyed; the traps were renovated and made all the more deadly to keep intruders out, the pulleys only move a third as fast, all of the tops are now completely unpredictable with varying speeds and next to no control everytime you get on and off(with spikes added to the sides as a nice bonus!), all of the plants have either wilted away or mutated from chemical residue, and of course, chemicals from Hydrocity(now known as Putrid Purifier) leaked out from the holes and mixed with the already acidic topsoil, creating corrosive mud. The pits are also bottomless; sink all the way in, and you're dead, not to mention the fact that they drain your ring count the more you stay in them(they won't kill if you have no rings left) and hinder your speed and jump height for 5 seconds when you get out. There are also remnants of Eggman's large-scale mining operation 20 years prior, with many Eggrobos and Egg Drillsters( both Mk. II &III) scattered everywhere. Some of them are still fully functional in spite of their worn-down state, and will activate upon detecting Sonic's presence. Most of the drilled out tunnels serve as mini boss arenas. Thankfully, they only take three hits in order to bring down due to their rusted exterior, but this zone is still a huge pain in the arse to get through, so you might wanna start looking for that Past sign...
Sounds inspired by Quartz Quadrant JP with US style power chords to make it less manic and more evil, which are just the thing to make QQ BF JP, one of my less favorite tracks, to an awesome track even for Sonic CD.

A lack of a robot generator should get this place fixed up, but for now be cautious, and RUN.
Marble Garden Bad Future: Not quite a garden, and not much marble left either. After the area was destroyed in the present, a factory complex has been built in its place.
