I have watched to many animes to say which one is the best but my top ones would easily be Fairy Tail. Naruto, Sword Art Online. Then theres also shorter animes i like alot too but i don't remember all of them becauase i watched to many ;(
Fairy tail is a treasure tbh, Bleach is my favourite followed by One piece and Naruto(idk why but im a huge big 3 sucker, they just stand out for me) but no matter what i will never understand people who hate Fairy tail
Fairy Tail is definitely kind of like…the token guild for misfits and underdogs. Lots of tragic backstories to go around 😅 But that’s what makes it such a special place-everyone there has become family for each other.
Are there any in Fairy Tail who don't have tragic backstories? My gut instinct is that every does, but the series does not cover every individual member, but it does give a good effort at covering almost all characters.

1. Her name is Lucy but the way they say it is Rushi because that's how you would "translate" it to. Has to do with their "alphabet" etc. Don't want to get too much into it.
2. Maybe I missed it but I wondered how you didn't say anything about the awesome ost Fairy Tail has. I doubt even the haters can say anything against that
It's just the second episode, it makes sense they wouldn't think much of the OST yet

I'm glad to be back in the Fairy Tail run. I'm already getting emotional, that's not good ! I love that these characters already know each other. Lucy is the newcomer, it's great ! The OST is on point.

It's written with the Katakana characters of Ru (ル), Shi (シ), I (イ). Now..!
The Japanese syllable pairs of R- (i.e. Ra, Re, Ro, Ri, Ru) are single vibrative in nature which means it sounds like the perfect mesh of the letters R and L (well, sorta). In reality, the Japanese alphabet lacks the character L entirely, and subsequently substitutes are foreign words containing the character L with the single vibrative R- syllable pairs.
As you can tell, there's also a hyphen following the "Ru". It serves to extend the previous syllable, turning Ru into Ruu (ル into ルー).
Furthermore, the syllable Shi (シ) may appear strange to people who do not have Japanese as their native language; shouldn't it be "Si"? Turns out not. The S- pairs (i.e. Sa, Se, So, Shi, Su) deviate from what some may consider to be a most logical pattern by turning what would have been "Si" into "Shi".
Lastly, the "i" written in lower case (i.e. ィ rather than イ)... You can use lower case characters to morph sounds if need be. An example would be "Fi", which doesn't exist as a standard syllable pair. You create this pair by morphing "Fu" with "I": フィ (the syllable "Fu" doesn't exactly exist either, it's closer to a translating transcription as the actually syllable is a soft "hu" (sounds like a whisper of a "(F)Hu")). ... They utilize minor case characters to elongate certain vowel pairs, and it seems to MEeEE that "Shii" is apparently one such example 🤷

I like to think that the bar for entry in Fairy Tail is pretty low it's just very dangerous to turn in an application
To explain why Natsu always gets motion sickness on any transportation it is because it said that Dragon Slayers have acute senses. Sight, smell, taste and touch. Not much is known why but my theory is this. Because of these sensitive senses, they can feel the rocking of the transport, see too much movement all at once, and the flowing breeze, so many senses around them that it's overloading them. Like us when we get seasick due to the waves, the smell of the ocean, and the rocking boat. This may apply to Dragon Slayers due to sensory overload
I am not a linguist, I can almost write correct in english but this is my take about her name, it is Lucy but the japanese don't have the "L" letter nor the sound for it so they prounonce it "Ruushi", they don't have a sound for "cy", but since it english it sounds like "see"/"c", they don't have "si" sound so they use "shi" for her name.
So the final product is Ruushi (double letter u for longer accent on it) the opposite to Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto, you barely hear the "u" from their name if you listen closely it almost sounds like they say "Saakra, Saaskee, Nartooo".
Even in english "cy" is pronounced different for example: Lucy and Cyborg.

the major strength of fairy tail that makes me love this show is that you really come to feel like you're a member of the guild along for the ride. It's a crazy dysfuntional and lovable family that look out for eachother and really manage to bring the feels when they need it. Plus so many characters get some exploring of their backstory, not just the main 3 or 4

Lucy's magic is called celestial spirit magic, which implies that her magic involves stars, which it does. I'm not sure if you noticed, but 2 of Lucy's spirits that she summoned in the first and second episode were Aquarius and Taurus, two of the zodiac constellations. The show explains more about this later so I won't go into too much detail, but Lucy's gate keys allow her to summon the spirit connected to that specific key, and the spirit is typically the physical form of a constellation. They spirits look similar to the names of their costellations, like how Taurus looks like a cow/bull because his constellation name the bull or the golden bull. So in the first episode Lucy was trying to buy the gate key of the "white doggy" aka Canis Major, of which you'll see in probably the next episode if you haven't watched it and put it on Patreon already.
I hoped this cleared up some stuff because I think I remember you both having trouble in the OP Reactions video trying to figure out how her magic worked or what her magic even is :)

Won’t lie and say I don’t understand why people hate on this show. They hate it because they need a hate train to hop on. I hated Naruto till I watched it, same with Bleach. That’s when I told myself to watch one piece before judging. There’s a reason FairyTail closed the gap between the big 3 and other anime
Disclaimer for all cons people will tell you:
1. FairyTail has fanservice but not too much. Idk why someone would complain about that but a lot do
2. It’s doesn’t have the power of friendship… no I’m dead serious. Natsu trained for a year and got a powerup by someone, beat a fodder character and briefly mentioned his friends. Haters called it POF so that made me delete TikTok. All the fights are explained
fun fact: excluding the guild master, natsu at that time should be the 6th strongest in the guild (right behind mirajane)
Well with "You know who away on a huge mission" and Mira not as active "For spoiler reasons" I'd say he may actually be at the moment around the level of the thunder legion. So it could range from 5-8 (Depending on who's strongest between him, gray, Bickslow, and Freed) Theirs also Evergreen but her power is mainly hax from her eyes.
In the beginning of the series gray and bickslow and freed are stronger than natsu and if we take elfman's true power(spoilers) he would be 9th excluding the master from the ranking with a clear power gap between the top 5 cz each is in a league of his own
@@mohamedkoussaydridi7385 elfman can't use his power so it doesn't count, (like loke), Grey is equal to natsu, and freed is not stronger just harder to deal with due to the nature of his magic

By following that logic, natsu would be number 1 by a large margin (power of dragon-slayer+power of END(sealed)+power of dragon(sealed)+power of igneel(sleeping))
This show is as good as it is cliche. My first anime that got me addicted to huge series. I won't charm I saw it till the end without skipping anything but it does hold a very special place in my heart and not a single episode failed to make me smile.

I also watched FT before I read BC and I was the same way. After the first few chapters of BC while everyone was saying it's a Naruto copy I was like "This seems a lot like FT to me."

Correct, in the anime, they say Loo-shee instead of Loo-see, its just how the script is written I think, and that's just how they say 'foreign' names that aren't asian/japanese. Some of them are able to read it as Lucy instead of lushee.

I think you guys should take a look at wakfu (it's a french anime based on a MMORPG and is underrated despite being good).The battles are particulary well animated (my favorite in the main serie is the battle between nox and grougaloragran).

Fairy Tail is my favorite anime of all time and has in my opinion the best music out of all anime bleach music is good to but Fairy Tail themes are just the best
When you hear them say Lucy’s name it’s how Japanese people say it, but in English it sounds a little different. If you watch it in English you will hear the difference, it’s just how they say it.

Unfortunately the anime is full of censorship, a lot of violent scene are heavily censored. In the manga Natsu saved Macao burning his wounds to close them.
In the manga, Macao was badly hurt so Natsu had to cauterize his wound. I don't why they changed it in the anime
Because the is anime censored. FT manga is way more brutal and bloody then the anime.

You mentioned it and it's pretty clear that Black Clover was ver inspired by Fairy Tail, the Black Bulls, the pink haired protagonist with a black haired rival, commonplace magic... there are a lot of little similarities. Not to mention the overall similar style of the story.
I personally like Fairy Tail more because of how much it makes you attached to the characters, very few shows do that as well as Fairy Tail does. Even One Piece for example, a similar and overall better series that is much longer and famous for having very likable characters, didn't make me as attached to the main cast as Fairy Tail did.
But Black Clovers is still good, specially when it comes to the genre in question, which isn't as consistently good as shorter series.
While watching this weekly and Macao got a moustache I felt it looked odd. Now moustacheless Macao looks weird.
