This song always reminded me of some proverbial up hill climb that is absolutely gritty, painful, treacherous and dark. Yet worth all the damn struggle.
@Mirage5892 The mission this played in, protect the alloy sample, affected me so much that I actually built my favorite AC around Grinder, albeit a version that doesn't suck quite as much. However with this song playing and you dealing with half a dozen MT's before being engaged by grinder while simultaneously fighting off another half dozen MT's to defend the truck was one of the best missions in the game. Perfectly done.
Yeah my brother would agree with you, and while I don't mind For Answer it has a different feel to it. I guess since AC 1-LR always had a slower paced combat system, the sudden speed of FA was a little... out of my comfort zone? I don't know. That said I wish VD was as polished as FA. I just wonder what combat system AC 6 will have.
Well to appreciate all armored core games, there is around three different combat systems (1-3, 4-4answer, 5-VD) and because of this variety people will have different opinions. I don't compare games of a series next to another, but my personal favorite is 4-4answer due to the highspeed combat system making me feel like I can actually dodge everything and be like an anime or something, very well done in fun factor.
Well I guess I can understand, but I've always preferred close range combat. That said, if those pile-drivers were as good as they are in ACVD I don't think I would have finished that mission lol.
Yes, I prefer to keep a lot of distance from myself and my enemies. That mission gave no quarters to fight Grinder, which is where he excelled. I realized of course that I can just LOLNOPE out of there and continue onto my merry way, around a year ago or so.
my big issue was the MTs that only target the transport because i could be shooting but Grinder kept flinching or even pushing me around and often times ive lost the transport
Yeah, but people wouldn't use them otherwise. To be honest they need more physical blades, and they need to get rid of UWs, but oh well. But I was wondering, since you're obviously a long time AC fan, what is your take on the whole AC:4/ For Answer vs. AC:5/VD? Cause while I've always embraced the AC:V concept, many other fans that I know say it's crap and that the series should go back to either the "classics" or the AC:For Answer reboot. What do you think?
@Mirage5892 If you rebuild Grinder but use fleet, moonlight, the mars breach blade, opt intensify and those medium rockets you get a faster and more powerful version that is sooooooo much fun to play with. I actually got to the point where I could take ace and exile with it but its hard. You have to swap out icicle for a lighter radiator but it is so worth it. Try it if you have the time. I found I was a sucky pilot before I actually made this AC. Now its kind of hard to go back.
Grinder was easy in the arena, but once you fought him in that mission... it was... different I have yet to beat that mission and I beat the game twice >.>
I always thought FA was the best one because of the new combat system...sure it took some getting used to, but play with the final regulation settings and they control so smoothly...it's just a matter of making an AC that works well with that system, and that's what a lot of people don't understand, is how to do that.
Raven, what’re you doing?

Are you a road cyclist?.
Cause I link mentally my first summit win.
This track started playing with 3km remaining for the finish line!
Very nice depiction of what it's like to be raven lol

AC3シリーズのプレイヤーにまでその場の雰囲気が伝わる感じのBGMがめっちゃ好き。
「遺跡内に微弱な熱源?・・・・・何もいない? 敵っ!? 囲まれている!」
Of course

Am I the only one who never had any trouble with grinder? Even a slow AC can stay out of his range easily if you just abuse boost
my big issue was the MTs that only target the transport because i could be shooting but Grinder kept flinching or even pushing me around and often times ive lost the transport
Wait a second, you thought that mission was hard? Really? Wow that mission was easy, even got a S on it.

Something about the 'game of thrones' theme reminds me of this.

ive found to just ignore him and clear the MTs first. After clearing the MTs wail on Grinder

haha yep, op as hell during ACVD
I have mastered all styles of combat for armored cores, I am also capable of changing fighting styles in the middle of combat.
