    He could have killed Len Matthews. Boxing in those days were in human.

    I counted nearly 100 punches thrown by Carlos Ortiz, most of which landed, with no return by Matthews.

    Ortiz was a hell of a champion. He vs Duran at LW would've been a war.

    CHECK OUT INTERVIEW OF CARLOS ORTIZ AND KENNY LANE UNDER KENNY LANE BOXING ON YOU TUBE AT WORLD BOXING ALL OF FAME IN 2004 IN L.A. CALIFORNIA. CARLOS AND KENNY BOXED 3 TIMES FOR THE WORLD TITLE AND BECAME GOOD FRIENDS.

    Duran was schedule to fight Ortiz but opted to get out and Ortiz had to fight Ken Buchanan for the Wold title. Which he lost when Ortiz did not come out at the bell.
