I would change it to thrash hockey, it sounds more professional and would potentially get more hockey fans in general. definitely expand too, you’re really engaging and enjoyable to watch.
More collaboration content would be awesome to see as well. Something like creating the best team you can in 1:30 then against eachother. Something along those lines!
Since you said you haven’t liked franchise in the past 5 years. Would you ever consider playing franchise on an old game for example NHL 12 or 14,15 etc. I think it would be awesome to watch you playing a classic game since a lot of us grew up playing them. I like the podcast idea seems like it would be entertaining for the viewers and you and whoever you would do it with. I think that you should keep your channel name that you have right now.
As someone who grew up watching old FIFA RUclips, there’s a bunch of great ideas from those guys! Same idea of a game that’s very similar every year, definetly some ideas you could steal and put a nhl twist on it.
Suggestion you can run with or shoot down, up to you. Talk about nhl rivalries and how far it dates back and recent rumors going around.

As someone who is lurking most of the times, but watches every video, and even doesnt play the game, but enjoys the content: Would love to see more talks about hockey in general, like trade reaction for blockbuster trades, drafts etc. Maybe also talks about other leagues, but i highly doubt that there are many fans of european hockey here, thats probably just my german hockey fan bias here. Keep the great work up, always nice to see your videos at the end of the day 🎉

They just dont get a lot of views when the cards arent super high overall, so doing them later in the year makes the most sense

A community based thing could be cool, could have people submit videos of cool goals, funny bugs/glitches/moments, insane packs, etc then each week or however you feel would be easiest you'd make a video of the top 5-10 moments and have the community vote on the best moment then take the winners from each video and have a final "top moments video" at the end of the year where the community will vote on the winner of the final video and whoever wins could get a copy of the next NHL or some other reward you feel is fair.
First of all, great on you for taking your own decision and not just listening to the audience. Don't get me wrong we are supporting you and I do believe to a small certain extent we do have a valid opinion, but the creators mental health is much more important and all in all it is your channel.
I have to admit I was scared when I saw the title but I completely agree with this decision. It is very true that only creating content from the game can only go so far and gets old for not only the viewer but most importantly, the one playing the game and editing the videos. I'm all in for hockey talks, and you're a fan of your team so its always interesting to see another team's fan perspective.
For my last point, I am in favour of ThrashHKY, Thrash94HKY or anything along those lines, I do agree that this too would grow your audience.

You could make like hockey talk streams and make like just fan suggestions on hockey in general (also i think it would be so funny if you joined a roller hockey league and did gopro hockey)

You do a great job making content on a game with little to no content. I would really enjoy short 3-4 minute commentary videos on certain hockey games. I don’t know if you watch Eck or Next Man Up. However, their videos are a lot of fun to watch and with your knowledge of the game it could be great.

Video idea with the gliding to glory team, at the end of year instead of making a all wings team sell all the players you can and use your 1.5 mil coin to make a team using all your coin and play a game with it
Do themed teams. Like gameplay with an entire team of players under 5'9. Or an entire team of 6'4 and up. Or only icons. Or only right handed players. Or only players over the age of 35. The options are endless, but I've always thought themed teams were very interesting. More than just teams like your all red wings team.

Everybody wants everybody to collaborate with THG. Besides him already being quite busy during the season, there’s just a point where it’d become too much. Love THG, but everybody needs to chill on suggesting him on every channel.
I imagine content is hard when the game is simply wash, rinse and repeat. Maybe some content showing more gameplay, I know you stream on twitch but not all of us see that or have time to see it. Like the idea for a cast with other folks.

I have no idea how this youtube stuff is worth it for you. You make like maybe $20 per video according to everything I read about how youtube content creators get paid AND you waste money on packs. AND you barely stream. How is this worth your time?
I have never only made $20 on a video since I've gone full time 😅
For streaming, while I don't do it often I still make enough to cover my phone and internet bills no problem
For RUclips, if I get $10 for every 1k views (a lot of variables, but this is a decent average number)
And I have over 300k views this month
Well there's the math
But videos over 8 minutes will make more since you can add an more ads to them
Then sponsors, merch sales and for the last few years I've had an eSports contract that I made salary on
Packs I buy count as a business expense when I make a video out of them - so thats a tax write off
