I loved this movie. Some people were disappointed because it is so real but that’s exactly why I loved it. REAL gay representation and trauma and it was just beautiful, on point, and still ended up happily. I can’t wait to watch it again!! I loved it and I cried a lot.
I just watched this movie yesterday and I loved it too! I saw some tweets about it when it was released saying they don't like it because it's supposed to be a feel good movie why can't we just have a romcom without the homophobia in it and in my part, as someone who has religious parents, this movie gives me hope that my parents will accept me one day. @@wade196840 well for starters, you didn't give an opinion, you gave a statement, which by definition should be factual. For starters, Charlie's Angels isn't exactly a "bomb", it wasn't successful by any means but it did recuperate its budget. Not to mention, shouldn't one take into consideration all her movies in order to balance the flop to success ratio? And looking at the filmography, it does seem like you're talking out of your ass. Not to mention, the movie has already been sold to a distributor for a profit, which means that your initial statement is factually, literally wrong. And if we're looking at artistic success, well then we'd have to wait for the movie to come out in a few days, but early review do seem to go against your words.
So, in conclusion.
1. This movie is already a success, if one is to look at it from a financial viewpoint.
2. We do not have enough information with us currently to judge it artistically, although it is safe to say that the trajectory dictates that it will be viewed favourably.
3. In order to judge the profitability of an actor, it is only logical to take into consideration their entire body of work. Others may have different opinions, but I believe the test for success should be a simple calculation of the balance of profitability. By this metric, Stewart is successful.
4. The slang 'going off' has several meanings, but the one I took the initial responder to mean was to 'ramble'. In which case I don't know what you're whining about. Do you know what to 'go off' means? Because your response to it doesn't make sense.
5. Your initial comment wasn't an opinion, it was a statement.

@@wade196840 charlie's angels got really bad reviews lmao it has a 52% on rotten tomatoes and noah fence but i never heard about any good reviews of charlie's angels. in contrast, this movie has a 90%. even though it's early on and there aren't that many reviews of it yet, a 90% tends to be a pretty good sign. also ik that rotten tomatoes isn't the end all be all but it can give you a pretty good overview of critics' reactions.
