Great video Shannon. This was fun. The only one that I got right was the Cesar Geronimo. I thought they were all higher grades. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed.
I got 5 of 9 right, and only one grade off of the other 4. Of the 4 misses, I over graded on 3 by one grade, and under graded the other by one grade. Fun exercise. I do feel the eye appeal for the '74 and '72 Concepcion cards, and the '75 Geronimo add a grade for all of them, especially the Geronimo card.
@@backtothecardboard Anything to support a fellow Big Red Machine fan! By the way, the '74 Concepcion card is one of my all-time favorite cards. Love those early '70's action shots!
Very interesting indeed Shannon. That was fun. I'm not familiar with PSA but I see they're getting tougher on their grading if they're newly slabbed. Got 3 correct.
It’s tough Mike. I guess, some graders are harsher than others. I wish they had employee numbers and you could request a specific grader.😁 I don’t know, maybe I got Gail Lewis as a grader!😂
Hey Shannon that was fun! I got 9 points! Of course it’s tough without actually having the card in hand, I’d like to think I have a better eye! 🤷🏻♂️ All sweet cards regardless of the grades if you ask me!
Not bad Jim. I’m sure you have a great eye. It’s just tough making a call through a screen, through plastic with bad lighting.😁 Thanks for playing along my friend.
Oh man I suck. 10 points off. Only got one right (the Tony Perez). I honestly expected the last two to have the same grade in some outlandish show of inconsistency by psa so kudos to them for that. Very fun stuff 👊🏻⚾️
lol. It’s hard looking on a screen through plastic. The graders have an advantage and still miss a big portion of the grades. Thanks for playing along my friend.
Hey, I see you made to 600 subs! Congrats but you should have more! I did get 3 right and missed most by 1. I agree the right Davey has much better color but PSA hammers centering harder sometimes in a completely random disturbing method 😂!
ok. no tens. dont know what a qualifier is. but lets get to the pausing and playing and guessing. brett 9. griffey 6. gwynn 7 dave 5 tony 6 dave 5 mr salad 5 both daves left is 6 right is 5. so my total is -7. Fun game. right one has a bad top left corner and centering front n back. that brett i didnt see why the lower grade. my miss of the group.
A qualifier is a designation after the grade. Like (OC) off center or (ST) stain. lol good job! Just a fun little silly exercise to show how inconsistent the PSA graders really are. Thanks for playing along.😁
@backtothecardboard I figured that was the approach you were taking. It just seems like they are getting more and more inconsistent with their grades. Those were some good-looking, clean cards. Some centering issues sure but a 3?
Negative 8 for my score. I guessed one card right and the most I was off was 2. Great cards either way. Sometimes I start thinking maybe I should stop buying graded cards and go with ungraded. Probably won’t though. Great cards.
😂 I have honestly stopped looking at that grade number. If I like the card and it’s cheap enough I’ll get it. PSA is so off a lot of times, it works in my favor.😁 Thanks for playing along my friend.
Not really…..or if ever!😂 I just wanted to show how inconsistent grading can be. And the more i look at it from card to card the more confused I become. 😵💫
The stapled issues how classic , 2 days ago by us I think it was in the 30's . I can grade better than them so can you , Jim and John all of can grade better than them George Brett= a 9.5 10 in my book ..The other ken griffey the son a 7 1983 Tony Gwynn a 7 in my book an 8 4th card 1980 Dave Winfield a 6 in my book an 8 psa doesn't know how to grade 1978 Tony Perez a 6 this is a later 1970;s card a 6 in my book maybe a 7 1974 Concepcion before supplys I say a 6 but it could be a 7 or so 1975 Germino No print marks or fish eyes I'll say a 6 but in my book an 8 1972 Concepcion right 5 left 6 questions 1. i'm 1million percent sure I can grade better than them and so can you? 2. have you been picking up any vintage issues of Beckett?
I would say you’re probably right on the grading aspect. I wonder what the qualifications are to become a card grader? I have picked up a few issues of the older Becketts from the 80s and 90s. Pretty interesting to look at now. Thanks for tuning in and playing along Mark. And as always thanks for your great comment.
@@backtothecardboard 2. I still need to pick up a recent issue of Vintage Beckett our Barnes and Nobles was down for about 9 months plus the holiday season so I do need a new issue.
7 On Brett, 6 On Griffey, Gwynn 7, Winfield 6 (4), Perez 7(6), Conception 6, Geramino 5 (6), 72 Concepcion 6(3),7(6)
Started off good. Lol. Enjoyed.
It’s tough Steve looking through a screen and then through slab plastic. I think you were 100%! It was the last few the PSA graders missed!
Great video Shannon. This was fun. The only one that I got right was the Cesar Geronimo. I thought they were all higher grades. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed.
You probably got them all right Ed! I believe PSA missed them all! Thanks for watching and playing along.

You were probably spot on Mike and PSA was the ones off. Thanks for playing along my friend.

interesting video, Shannon. was 75, where I live.
Thank you rj. I’m jealous.☀️

I nailed the Griffey, Winfield, Perez but those Concepcion cards blew my run, 8 points.
Good job Brian. Thanks for playing along my friend.

I’m with you on the disturbing method! Perfect description!😂 Thanks for tuning in Otto and playing along. Also, I appreciate the kind words.
9 points, guessed 3 correctly. I was only off my more than 1 with the PSA 6 1972. You mislead me into thinking they were about the same grade.
lol. Just goes to show how The graders are not always correct. Sorry about that.😁 Thank you for playing along my friend.

I would be fired. I was a grade to two higher on all of them. Granted, I am on my phone. Nice cards.
Thank you Terry. Just maybe,PSA was a grade lower.😂 I’m sure that’s what it was.
Either PSA was way off or I was. I got 9 points.
I would say PSA was way off! Kind of an exercise to show how a large portion of grading is speculative. Thanks for playing along.😁

It was Joe Dirt cold, get the spatula and spam out or bring the dog in ...lol Great Video!!!
lol. I love spam! Thanks for playing along.😁
I scored 11. Guess I better not apply to psa
I have to believe Andrew, that you were probably closer to being right! And the PSA graders were the ones that were off!😁
Negative 8 for my score. I guessed one card right and the most I was off was 2. Great cards either way. Sometimes I start thinking maybe I should stop buying graded cards and go with ungraded. Probably won’t though. Great cards.

10 I thought I did pretty good
Good job my friend. Thanks for playing.😁
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
i tried recording my real time response, but it might take some editing
Haha!
Wait.... are you saying the psa graders had the CORRECT answers????? 😂
Not really…..or if ever!😂 I just wanted to show how inconsistent grading can be. And the more i look at it from card to card the more confused I become. 😵💫
The stapled issues how classic , 2 days ago by us I think it was in the 30's .
I can grade better than them so can you , Jim and John all of can grade better than them
George Brett= a 9.5 10 in my book
..The other ken griffey the son a 7
1983 Tony Gwynn a 7 in my book an 8
