- "Phama Prates" is a Thai propaganda song in the era of Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram. Currently, it is an instrumental song that is used to open the lead to compare the time of Thailand before 8:00 am (before salute to the flag in the morning), before 18:00 (before the evening flag) and before 20:00 (before the news in the royal court) by the radio station of Thailand Public Relations Department (For comparisons before 8:00 AM and before 8:00 PM, a digital clock signal is used for the dialing of an antique clock; before 6:00 PM, a digital clock signal is used for one gong beating.) Written by Mom Luang Tuansri Worawan, the current version is a composition of Phra Janeduriyang (Piti Vadayakorn).
This song is a Thai song with a Burmese accent at a double rate. Written for the first time for the performance of the Pan-Thang drama "Phra Chao Si Pomin" Thesis in Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Prince Worawanakorn Krom Phra Narathip Prapanpong Later, songs were selected to compare the time. This song was chosen because the melody from the instrument had a ticking sound similar to the sound of a clock.
The word "Prates" in the title of the song means "foreign country", originating from the word "Batet", which is a combination of the word "Bora(foreign)" and "tes(land)", does not mean "country" in any way.

Well, if thou said as much, could have said as well that "Phama" (พม่า) means Burma (old exonym for Myanmar). Name of song thus could be translated as "[Foreign] Land of Burma".
