  • cracids esp. currasows are belonging to my fav.birds and here you can see why :-). glad a friend of mine is breeding a large ammount of cracids, some of them are shown here which i filmed some days ago.He has a large bird collection mainly consisting of aquatic birds and cracids and i only present you here a small selection of somewhat tamer birds.unfortunatelly these beautiful birds ar enot often found in captivity anymore ue to many reasons.the reasons of zoos often is cuzzoo visitors are not much interested in this mainly "only" black birds, another reason unfortunatelly is an almost non working together of people that have real passion for this birds and lots of jelousy and corruption.
Me and Kim will always share the true love and passion for his wonderful birds and i will always fight for the rain forests, the habitat most of them live in.
Tracks used in this video are from: Christof Heinrich,Bochum, who made the cello track for me,thanks a lot
the super talented yet young Lea Gums & Steven Wilcken
Thanks a lot for this great music.

Great currasows are believed to be the origin of the legend of "El silbón" in Venezuela and Colombia.

@@djkarasun A demonic entity of the the llanos folklore. Some say it's like a slenderman other the ghost of a son the killed his father with a donkey carrying with the bones... anyway the silbón has a characteristic whistle and this supposed sound (an incomplete scale of C) is believed to be originated on the animal's sound when they have chickens, their natural tendency is to create groups and become very territorial, attacking passing by people and so in group.

there was a little misunderstanding of naming the male at 5.00..it is a yellow knobbed male not a great currasow...
