Thank you for sharing this pattern. I've been wanting to crochet it since i saw it on Instagram but couldn't afford to buy the pattern. I'm suffering with major rotor cuff shoulder pain but it can't stop me from making this. Love from India ❤❤
This is absolutely beautiful. I was really looking forward to making it. row 1 - 5 was fine to follow. row 6 just got way too complicated. I am so disappointed I can't do this. and I have been crocheting for years.
I'm very sorry you're finding row 6 difficult! Did you try turning on the subtitles to follow written instructions? I also linked another video in the bio which might help :) only it's not in English hihi
I could kiss you!! I’ve been looking for a tutorial on this top, and here it is 🤩 You’ve put a lot of work into this….THANK YOU (Now I just have to get my head around row 6 -> 😂
Please make sure to turn on the written instructions I've added to the subtitles! There's also another video in the bio I found of another creator that might help if my tutorial is too hard to follow! Good luck! Let me know if I can help any other way ❤

Hi, do you have written instructions besides the diagram? I can't follow diagrams yet, and written instructions helps me keep up with the video. Thank you!
Not yet! I was thinking of adding them as subtitles once Im sure of what I'm doing at each step tho, I just worry I'll add the info and make a mistake 😅 I'll try and work on it this weekend!
I loved it. I will start this right away when I finish the work in hand, I even thought about my colors. I understand what you are saying but I feel like I missed something. Can you turn on the subtitles? English is not my native language.
I've added subtitles, I hope they help! I also made sure to add as many links as possible in the bio of the video, to offer various ressources I myself followed when creating these tops. Good luck, let me know if you need anything else!
Trying to follow pattern could you not include and voice over or edit with some words as round 8 very hard to see. I’ve watched some videos with writing on screen.
Oh you're right! I think maybe the first chain is to close the exdc, but it does appear like I'm chaining 3. I'll try and update the subtitles to add a mention so no one else is confused!
Hmm that’s a difficult question to answer, as I no longer have them in my possession! I would lean towards the idea that this top what is sometimes called ‘’one size fits most’’ :) I also have the measurement of 1 square in the intro of the video, which could give you an idea of the final size of the top with all the squares assembled. I would recommend adding or removing rows of DC if you want the squares bigger or smaller. Oh one last thing, the way the squares are assembled will also add perhaps an inch here and there. Voila, I hope this lengthy answer helps a little!
I added the written instructions (to the best of my abilities) post-publishing the video, you'll find them in the subtitles! Simply turn them on ❤ don't hesitate to let me know if there are any steps I forgot to add, I'll do my best to update them!
Please turn on the subtitles for written instructions! I tried making every step as clear as possible, but I never do this kinda thing so if it's still unclear let me know!
I used a 4mm hook! As for the yarn, the one I show in the video is from the brand loops & threads and is called "silky soft" (it's rayon from bamboo) 🧶
I'm trying to write step by step instructions, but its way harder than I thought! I'll let you know when I'll have them updated 🤣 They'll be added as subtitles, so they'll appear as I'm doing each stitch (or at least that's the hope, we'll see how well I accomplish this lol)
Great question! I don’t have a definitive answer for you, but here are a few tips and personal reflections that might help: Based on what I’ve seen online, XL sweaters are typically between 70-74 inches from sleeve to sleeve, and the body width is around 24-26 inches. With these dimensions in mind, I made a quick calculation: since six squares (at 12 inches each) will complete the width from one sleeve to the other, your sweater should indeed end up being approximately XL in size! Before assembling all the squares, I’d recommend laying them flat on the ground and placing a sweater in your preferred size on top. This will help you see if you need to add another row of HDC or DC to the squares before finishing. I hope this all makes sense-good luck with your project! I’d love to hear how it turns out :)
This will take a bit of experimentation, but here’s a general idea: Since each of my squares measures around 28cm, multiplying that by 4 (the number of squares for the body) gives a waist measurement of 112cm. If you want to make it bigger, you could try using a larger hook, but personally, I’d recommend adding a round of double crochet (DC). This will give the top a fuller look and add about 2-4cm of width to each square, which, when multiplied by the 4 squares, should give you a more comfortable fit. As I mentioned, it’ll require a bit of trial and error, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out! Let me know how it turns out! :) Don't forget that the way I assemble the squares also adds a little more width :)
