    Good on Armstrong for not holding on to Tarasenko and O’Reilly and loosing them for nothing. Let’s get this rebuild going in high gear so we can get through it quickly!

      The right answer is and always will be the latter. Forget even going back to the year 2018, even in hindsight, you make that trade all day everyday. Sobotka, a first, Berglund and the 2017-2018 version of Tage Thompson for an immediate impact player who wins the Con Smythe, Selke and Stanley cup? Easy decision.

    OK, first of all as a Leaf fan, thanks for giving us ROR and Acciari. They were impressive in their first game as Leafs a while ago against MTL and we expect the same in every game moving forward.
    Also, you guys get a good prospect in Mikhail Abramov. Adam Gaudette was good in the AHL this season but was never called up to the big club, since we also focused on other prospects like Pontus Holmberg.
    I think Gaudette would get called up to STL and could be useful in the bottom 6 (3rd-4th line).
    Also think B. Schenn could be your next captain, as well.

    Im not the biggest Armstrong fan, but he did good with this press conference. I liked how he owned it, and even made corrections to his previous statements about players quitting. This looks like more of a rebuild around Thomas and Kyrou, rather then a re-tool. The Blues roster is predominately made from acquisitions, rather then drafted and developed players. Alot of pressure is gonna be on the scouting and those in charge of development. The Blues track record isnt exactly shining. Waldman has become a solid with Seider in Detroit. Klostin has also turned a page in Edmonton. Of course we wont talk about Thompson in Buffalo, and his development. Armstrong has handled money very wrong also. Thomas and Kyrou both make more then Jason Robertson and Tage Thompson, and lets not discuss trade clauses as well.

  • @mohawkmike142
    @mohawkmike142 Год назад

    The blueline is key. Young defensemen coming in take longer to develop to become regulars in the league. The Blues need a stud d man and probably two to compete with the better teams in our conference. Tonight's game against the Avs showed our weakness and left Binner out to lunch again.

    Armstrong the poor defense play is the problem for this team. Not our talented forwards you keep trading for draft picks. Draft picks are a gamble. You failed to make our team better. Who would you suggest he should have signed? He had very little cap space available. The problem
      Is the guys didn’t play up to expectations. The defense top four have been horrendous especially Parayko. The problem people fail to understand is the Blues had a lot of guys who had career years last year but still lost to Colorado. This team was going nonwhere so instead of losing guys Armstrong is making the best of a difficult situation. Tarasenko was a problem child. He was big man on campus until ror showed up and he got butt hurt and jealous. He should have gone last year but his numbers were too good. Unfortunately it was time. I hope ror returns but if not so be it. I’m excited for the new look blues for next season

      @@williamlauman8126 the players he’s signed hand a history of playing well so I don’t know how he’ll supposed to know they’ll start playing so poorly. I think the leddy trade was just a coincidence. Krug has never impressed me defensively and Parayko is simply lazy. He’s huge yet he hits No one. Has a tremendous shot yet he rarely shoots. He only checks using his stick. On line changes he’s rarely inna hurry to get to the bench; the players have a huge accountability for this. Armstrong’s proven he’s an exceptional GM. He did what many others in St. Louis couldn’t but he doesn’t put on the skates

    This is a wholesale sellout of the team. “overachievers” don’t grow on trees. Amazes me we can build a dynasty, but it will never happen with only home grown players. Its almost as if the won the cup and that’s enough for the next 20 years. Smh.

    • @jeffgerst3619
      @jeffgerst3619 Год назад +4

      That’s not right at all. This team has under achieved at a horrendous level this year. This isn’t on Armstrong or berube at all. The players like Tara’s po asking a trade and Parayko playing lazy is solely on the players. With winning comes lower picks so you can’t expect over night home grown talent. This team has under achieved and it was past time for a retooling. I hate to see ror leave but it’s time. Armstrong has a ton of picks and lots of cap space so he can retool
      This roster this summer

      This team was way underachieving. Getting older too. Had to get something for guys that we’re leaving. Probably weren’t making playoffs and even if we did we’re not going anywhere. Team is just not good this year. We’re not in a position to just make the playoffs with all these aging vets and expiring contracts. It’s not a wholesale sellout either. Yes we’re selling but it’s all guys that wanted out or have expiring contracts.
