Moon made a few adjustments Foggy never did: Boots on DH. Focus statues, Harass UD creeping with KOTG. Run around the map more to keep Happy occupied. Late game switch to lores or 2nd expo.
Bang on! Foggy seemingly gave up on finesse completely and only seem to grind micro and mechanics, trying to improve his builds (with moderate success, to put it mildly). He's become unbearably predictable with his movements and decision making, also not learning much from his past mistakes - small, but tremendously impactful ones, if your opponent is Happy. This is (imho) what separates the absolute top-tier players, like Moon and Lyn from everyone else. When Moon identified the Garg switch in G5 and adjusted to it in a heartbeat, it was a spark of true genius on his part. The mana burns on statues were pretty much always there too, and shop control is also something that you simply can't forget about against Happy. Moon and Lyn both learned this, and their recent results reflect that.
also, something ppl don't notice is how moon runs away with his heroes in opposite directions whenever they are focused, which makes it very difficult for the undead to catch them and forces the army into a sub-optimal position
Yeah honestly watching Foggy play recently I feel like he's just going through the motions, doesn't really care about the game. I get it tbh, he's been grinding war3 for a long time and played countless games, but those small finesses are what separate the absolute best like Moon, Happy, Infi and the likes.

Fantastic performance once again by Moon with a fantastic decision making. However, I would love to see more often chimaeras, especially in building race context.
chims are quite weak vs fiends unless you get 6. thats not very viable in most 1vs1 games. Foggy has used them in like 2% of his games but you need to surprise your opponent. its not like Happy is a bad scouter.
@Taba luga You are right. However, maybe It would be viable only in a long term game with armies of 80 pop, renouncing to have a more competitive army in exchange of more destructive power on buildings
very good war here. finally someone starting to use dh as it should be. dry heroes is a key to victory over undead. no matter the skill, if u cant nuke - u lose 30% army dps. that is formidable. its amazing that even with such disadvantage, ud managed to represent considerable danger. elf was not sure of victory gain even with 2 expo. elfs micro was second to none, especially cruicial staff saves. that was intense

just curious, could they drop their intel items (intel adds mana in this correct?) THEN use the moonwells to replenish, then put the items back on? thus in effect gaining more mana
@@Back2Warcraft so any reason why the best players in the world are not doing that when mana is so important? also, enemy has ZERO anti air or VERY little like one or two net spiders, why not just keep pressuring his army and picking him off / pressuring his heroes and staying further away with your heroes so they aren't in danger ok he just started doing it.. nvm
It took 2 losses and 1 losing match for happy to realize he could've mass gargs against mass fairies if Moon didn't pick panda 2nd Nevertheless, fairies feel quite strong, it feels like zerkers for orc but better. Panda would be more of a liability, my guess is that it’ll be targetted a lot and you can’t coil to heal it which is very problematic, plus its melee so it can’t keep its distance like a naga can
@@jensclarberg6419 I'm not sure whose point are you refeering to right now, TrustyFoe is right, but DialetcticChaos is not, he "wonders how good would panda be as the third hero for ud against fairies", which can only imply that he is thinking about maybe using Breath of Fire against fairies. UD hero leveles have a tremendous power spike early, but fall off drastically after 5. With NE it's basically the opposite - UD ults suck, NE ults are near auto win. That's why Happy is willing to share xp with a 3rd hero after his DK and Lich comfortably reach at least 3 and 2, whereas any NE will generally aim for 5-6 optimally, so a 3rd hero would only get in the way.
@@luckylarry71 that is objectively false reasoning. Maybe Lawliet tries to aim for Warden 6 or Demon 6 sometimes to pull out his occasional miracle win against Happy but out of all 5 games Moon didn't hit level 6 on either hero once so what you're saying is just absolutely and objectively untrue and absurd. Nelf ults are certainly excellent but you'd never give up an advantage that could help defend your expansion, win fights, push the enemy expo, etc for a super, super late game win condition that very rarely even pays off before the game is decided. Much, much more likely it is because any third hero would get focused and killed way too easily with coil nova and be more of a liability taking away moon well mana, invuls, and staffs back to base away from the DH. I mean who would you even pick up third? Panda to counter gargs? Well you'd need level 3 at least which is virtually impossible when you also need DH three asap. And something like potm or naga would get killed by DK and Lich just blinking at them.
